What the hell?? Sure
some of my sketches exploring the designs for adult Mandark and Taylor. Since Surfer Boy looked quite like Dee Dee in the cartoon, I wanted to keep that but also give his own 'cool guy' style influenced by the 90's - his signature colour is still purple. This is a 'good' version of Mandark, in a very normal-world setting. He'd be like the Mirror Inverse of Exe Mandark from Ego Trip - he's just some guy. The show always had two realities going at once, almost, the mundane stuff and the very surreal stuff that I always felt was at least partially Dexter's imagination so I wanted to play with that and have characters like Dee Dee and Mandark have some more grounded elements. Pieces to their characters that Dexter wouldn't have noticed as a kid!
