Day30 Another reason to #BurnAFlag. Trump held a campaign rally to reinforce his message of fear, paranoia, and pessimism. This requires enemies and scapegoats and he is never short of them. Blame Mexicans, Muslims, Liberals, and nearly anyone who disagrees him. Blame Obama for "The Mess" that he left behind. Most importantly, blame the "Dishonest Media" who dare to report facts. Authoritarians know they control the masses when they control the message. If Trump can convince people that journalists are not to be trusted, he controls them. When a leader casts the media as the enemy of the people it is time to take action. The silencing of journalists is a primary tactical device of authoritarian regimes to control the operative narrative and to control the populace. The media is #NotTheEnemy. #TrumpIsTheEnemy He is a fearmonger who will continue to embrace bigotry as long as it brings him applause because, like a true narcissist, he requires admiration at any cost. He is a liar and will continue to lie, but no matter how often he repeats his lies, they will not become truths.
