I grew up with PBS. Through shows like Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Bill Nye the Science Guy, The Big Comfy Couch, Arthur, Zoom, and The Magic School Bus, I learned about math, science, animals, geography—and most importantly, empathy.Defunding PBS means taking away those lessons from future generations. Kids from all backgrounds rely on this kind of programming to learn, grow, and feel seen.PBS isn't political. It's educational and deserves our support.

Defunding a network like PBS before ending things like mass shootings is a choice and a horrible one in every sense of the word

Currently reading;

Well I just finished Simply more by Cynthia Erivo. Ngl very inspirational to me specifically. Especially the quote “if it’s boring, it’s not for you” basically like if it’s boring you you’re allowed to leave it alone. I unfortunately have a bad habit of subscribing to the sunk cost fallacy.

Last Movie:

Uhh I can’t believe I don’t really remember because I literally keep track in my journal every movie I watch for the year. I really don’t remember lol. Does it count if I have it playing on in the background for ambient noise? I watched the 1990s TMNT trilogy as background noise. I also watched this movie called Baked in Brooklyn starring Josh Brener (also from TMNT) as an ambience movie. It’s not a great high cinematic classic but it’s weirdly enough one of my comfort movies. (It’s free on YouTube but because of the SUBSTANCE😉 of the story it’s rated r or pg13 so you have to log in to watch it) Highly recommend the TMNT movies though. Actually (I finished this whole thing and came back) the last movie I sat down to watch that I remember that wasn’t ambient noise was The muppets (2011) for the third time this year because I was crocheting a Kermit Capelet!

Last show I watched:

Call the Midwife! I binged season 1-8 in like a week from my local library’s hoopla binge pass. It’s so good and so heart warming and very educational for me. I will be jumping ahead to season 15 soon because my local PBS is offering season 15 for free online and I need to watch it!! (SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY AND PBS STATION!!) Not recommended if your squeamish to like the birth process or like blood. But I’m pretty squeamish and I was pretty chill. It was really good watch. Fun fact: the actress who plays Nurse Julienne has a brief cameo in Captain America Winter Soldier as the senator Natasha turns into with the mask.

Coffee or Tea

I’m a bit of a tea person luv. Luv a good cuppa. Sorry 😅

Video games:

I’ve been playing the same video game since September 2020 and that is Animal Crossing new horizons I will admit I took a brief break to play Mario kart and Just dance but then I went right back to Animal Crossing. Still haven’t completed my island yet 🥲

What I’m working on:

Writing: wouldn’t you like to know 😏 no jk I’m working on the same novel I’ve been working on since 2015 as I tell myself for yet another year I’m gonna finally work towards publication. 😒

Crocheting: well actually, I’m working on crocheting a new dress as a side project from the skirt I’m working on as a side project I’m working on for my birthday dress which needs to be finished in the next two months to BE a birthday dress. So you know, the usual 😂

Also I’m working up the courage to finally proceed with my plan to show off my crochet work online. I made a separate yarn blog @sparklettefa one day I’ll get courageous and I’ll drop some stuff on it. Sometime this month I hope.

I have a propensity (did I use that right) to tap ALOT so I’m sorry to put you through this😂
