I spent a real long time trying to write something about this record and I’m not sure why its been so difficult. In the interest of letting the songs speak for themselves I’ll keep this brief and try not to over-explain. Unbeknownst to me, all of these songs were written and recorded in the calm before the storm. Most people write a record AFTER a life altering experience but I wrote this one just before one. Classic. Anyway, there are lyrics on this record that are eerily prophetic and some that are almost comically foretelling. There are parts where I cringe and wish I could will them out of existence but that’s rock n roll baby! Anyway sorry for being so vague and dramatic. 2018 was, without a doubt, the hardest year of my life. I have a lot to be thankful for but life threw me a bit of a curveball this year and the fallout has been a wild ride. This record means a lot to me and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it. Thanks for listening. Wow I can’t believe I just seriously used the word “unbeknownst”.
