Happy Birthday Otohata-kun!
Reblog and tag an obscure piece of media you think would be a hit on tumblr if more people knew about it
I’m making a Supergals Ace Attorney AU (post-Supergals-canon) and not sure if Ran should be a defense attorney or prosecutor. One thing for sure, she will NOT be a cop
Characters with red streaks in their hair.
Ran Kotobuki, Ran Mitake, Rook (UTAU).

Ran Kotobuki is the most Chaotic Good character I’ve ever known and I love her
The only thing I remembered really disliking about Gals! is how they treated the ganguro girls.
Ganguro is a type of fashion in Japan that involves getting a really dark tan.
For some reason, the ganguro girls in Gals! are drawn with thick lips which make them look like caricatures of black people. They’re also treated as mean and nasty people who the main character dislikes.
Maybe I’m looking too far into it, but the fact that the dark skinned girls are portrayed this way feels uncomfortable to me. Even though it’s just a type of fashion, they’re all Japanese, and those girls make themselves dark purposefully, it just has unfortunate implications, especially in this day and age.
When I was 12, I thought they actually were supposed to be black (somehow) and it made me very uncomfortable to see.
I just found out that the creator of the anime/manga SuperGals, Fujii Mihona, also made a short sapphic wlw manga called Himitsu no Hanazono
It’s about a girl who falls in love with a guy, and the guy turns out to actually be a very handsome girl. They’re still deeply in love and it gave me feels.
I read it and it was really good
I’m not really sure if Sakuya (the handsome girl) is cis though
They were raised as a guy, presents as masculine, but the manga heavily implies that they’re DFAB. Also, Sakuya refers to themself as a woman.
I’m going to headcanon them as a genderfluid lesbian though.
