Couple of blog notes.
First off, my sister broke her ankle on the ice yesterday and she's here ahead of her appointment to get a cast (she lives out of town and her husband drove her in when he went to work), so morning blogging will be pretty light.
I've changed an entry in the Progressive News Must-Read SuperFeed from "Ezra Klein" to "WonkBlog," since Klein is leaving the Washington Post.Β It's actually something I should've done a while ago (Klein wasn't the only one who posted there), but the only habits that are easy to acquire are the bad ones and procrastination is no exception. The change won't show up immediately.
Or maybe it's not Feedburner...
Grrr....
Superfeed Update
The problem seems to be with Feedburner. Apparently, they've changed their settings somehow and the Superfeed no longer validates consistently. So, you know, screw them. We're going the direct link to Yahoo! Pipes, which you can find here: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=b0c30fa42896df59e2a4e08318f82251&_render=rss.
The only problem with this is that I can't add topical feeds without asking everyone to switch URLs all the time, so I won't -- which to me at least is a minor setback and nothing I'm going to sweat.
The Superfeed is driving me nuts.
I'm skipping the headlines to see if I can't get this thing working again.
There's only one big political story today anyway.

About the Superfeed.
Some who use the Progressive News Must-Read Superfeed may have noticed spotty service. Not sure what's happening here, but it seems to be coming from Yahoo! Pipes. If you get an error, try back again later -- and maybe clear your cache beforehand.
Hopefully, this is just a case of stormy internet weather and will clear up on its own. If not, I may have to find some alternative to Pipes.
Superfeed weather report
The Progressive News Must-Read Superfeed aggregator isn't tracking Political Wire right now. Seems Taegan Goddard's changed the feed URL and I'll need to update it. The problem is, Yahoo Pipes having some sort of emotional breakdown right now and returns nothing but error messages no matter what I do.
The Superfeed itself still works fine, it's just without one of the news sources at the moment. I'll revisit the issue later in the afternoon and see if I can't update Goddard's RSS URL then.
Cleaned up the Superfeed.
I went through the Progressive News Must-Read Superfeed and trimmed the input from my Tumblr up a bit, to weed out the extraneous debate posts and other not so very important things. Like most blogging platforms, Tumblr lets you subscribe to an RSS feed of posts with a particular tag, so the Superfeed now gets only my posts tagged "#blogwire." That way my little arguments aren't hogging up the aggregator. If you want to find a tag feed for your own Tumblr, just go to your blog, click on the tag you want, then add "/rss" to the end of the URL. If you're using a feed to publish stuff elsewhere, this is a really nice way to edit the content on the fly.
As always, you can follow the Superfeed as RSS here or as a web page here. There's also a twitter feed. I use the Superfeed constantly.
