Superhotties
He, in fact, does NOT know what that means
Also I need a scene where they show us how in the world Kara managed to convince Clark to dog-sit for her 😭

he knows, he knows he’s fucking hot
“Kara hates clark” “Clark hates Kara” bro they love each other so much the bizarro version of each other even loves each other shut the fuck up.
Recently I've been thinking about Kal and Kara and what I like individually about them as characters and as always it circles back to Krypton's destruction.
I like to think that Kal is a very "it's better to have loved and lost" kinda person. Grief is heavy but it is love staying overdue and he would prefer if he knew what his planet was by experiencing it, even if it would be destroyed regardless. I do also think this carries over into him experiencing things on Earth and his upbringing, to him doing his best to follow the trends and keep up with humanity purely because he loves it so much. He will probably live past all his close ones but if he fears losing them he'll never enjoy his time with them and so he'll love them and lose them and grieve them all the same.
Kara on the other hand, to me, is someone who despises grief (at first at least), which is extremely understandable. She watched her planet die, she watched everyone she's ever loved die in a fiery blaze of desperation, how can Kal prefer this vice around her throat that she has to deal with every day? How can he stand there and smile at her so sadly and try to tell her it will get better? Her grief is insurmountable and a physical weight on her shoulders and she would love nothing more than to throw it off but without it the world feels larger and scarier and it's become a known comfort she can't part with anymore.
Maybe they are slightly jealous of each other at first. Maybe Kal envies the fact that Kara knew life on Krypton in a way he never will. Maybe Kara envies how Kal went and found a home without a burden.
Maybe they will both come together and cry over a cup of Ma's hot chocolate under the Kansas sky. And maybe they'll still be jealous of the things they never know. But they're together and that's what matters.
Maybe the world will be better the next day after all.
