Summer always randomly reminds me of the one time as a kid, I got a sunburn that was so bad that I went to scratch a little itch and a whole sheet of skin peeled right off.
So now every time I spend any extended amount of time in the summer sun. The very next week I scratch each itch with a gentle rub or tap rather than a nail scratch. But you know I'm older so now I also have eczema in some parts, sometimes....I'm itchy and I have relive the absolute horror in a minute way all over again. The crazy thing is, I remember it not hurting, it almost felt relieving, but it was still so traumatizing but later fascinating. Anyway, wear sun screen. If you hate sun screen physically block the rays with clothes or a parasol or something, or stay inside. I don't want anyone to experience the sensation of bring a human reptile. Because that peel started the chain of like a week's worth of shedding and that for some reason hurt.
Im gonna be so real right now
I know I need to wear sunscreen and every time I go out without it I feel so bad, but also there's so much work that goes into sunscreen. You can't just put it on. You have to put it on continuously throughout the day, and then you can't sleep in it. You have to wash it off, but it can't be normal face wash! It has to be a double cleanse with an oil based cleaner! And you have to wash your body too after using it because you can't just do your face.
And then I feel like, I'm almost 30. Like there's already so much damage done to my skin because of the sun 😭 like what's the point??

If at any point you think to yourself, I don’t need to put sun screen there. That spot doesn’t get much sun.
