Kenji knew this place wouldn’t be good for him in several ways. If he had to point one of them out, the most obvious one would be that he was pulled away from his original mission. Another, equally important problem was that he didn’t have the opportunity to properly train in this city. Not like he was used to, at least.
With a bad sword like the one on his hip now, no sparring partner nor a place to train, his skills and movements were going to get rusty really soon. He needed an outlet, a place to train, perhaps going to Sector 6 every few days to train against trees would be an effective way to keep his strength up to par… But that would surely garner unwanted attention, more important than that, he would probably destroy the trees. Which would be counterproductive in its own way.
A sigh escaped the banchou, who took his sword from his hip and swung it over his shoulder. When he was little he would spar with Touya-kun daily, when he left them he found new sparring partners in the dark student council after decimating all the participants of his district project… What had he done in this city? Not much of anything, really. It bothered him, prompting him to kick a pebble rather harshly.
That pebble skipped a few times, hitting the shins of another person who was a few meters away. That wasn’t what he had intended.
A small raise in his voice that would allow them to hear his apologies, only after he spoke aloud he approached the other.
“I’m in a rather foul mood, it wasn’t within my intentions to kick that straight at you.”
It was only then he noticed that he still had his sword on his shoulder. What a silly way to approach someone you’ve just unintentionally hurt, then again, the look in their eyes signaled that perhaps this incident would end up yielding him something good anyway.
