I just listened to a discussion between a President from one of the small islands Kiribati, someone from 350.org and two young activists. They were talking to a journalist on Al Jazeera through Skype. Their conversation was filled with clarity, enthusiasm, urgency and a call out to all of us to be actively engaged on all fronts.
And as I listened I realized what I was hearing were the songs of what Murshid called  the charged heart. He says:
â*What kind of music can heal man? Is it singing or playing, or music for dancing?' Singing is the most powerful, for singing is living, it is Prana. The voice is life itself. No doubt it is also life, which is working through an instrument by the touch. But in singing it is the direct life, the breath touching the heart of the listener. However, behind this voice there must be a heart charged like a battery with what is needed. And with what is it charged? With what we call love and sympathy, the greatest power there is.â*
Murshid of course was talking very specifically about music but I feel like I can hear many songs for everywhere I look there are charged hearts.
Take for example the scientists at The Climate Action Tracker (CAT). CAT is an independent scientific analysis produced by four research organisations  tracking climate action and global efforts towards the globally agreed aim of holding warming below 2°C. They are monitoring the submissions from all nations at the moment and itâs amazing to see their work. http://climateactiontracker.orgâ/indcsâ.html
I am filled with gratitude for all the charged hearts, especially in the wake of the tragedies we are seeing in the news.

Kainat Norton has written a wonderful piece about what we as an organisation can do with regards to climate change.  And her final words are ringing loudly in my heart:
*âMay each of us inscribe a love letter to the earth through our words, thoughts and deeds. What other action is left, but to do all we can to uphold the integrity of our planet by joining our inner cultivation and awakened conscience with outer care and cultivation of our planet.â*
