You're trying to add some levity because we're living through a hellish nightmare where we wake up every day and realize that Donald Trump is still President for nearly three more years and that even if something happened to him, we'd be stuck with JD Vance. That is what you are doing, right? Because you're not seriously asking me how women cast their votes -- in the United States -- in the Presidential elections of 1860 and 1864. Right?

1. they dont teach this at all. like they didn't teach us anything about suffrage in history classes. this is all completely new information. they teach us about the black power movement and civil rights and shit but never suffrage. ever. they do the bare minimum

2. the civil rights unit is so much shorter when we spend a century and counting trying to get equal rights - gender, sex, race, sexuality - all of it. it's still happening.

3. they fought so fucking hard and kept getting ignored. mistreatment, being labelled as hysteric, near torture, for years and for what? still barely any progress?
