I sit down with a good book or play War Thunder with my friends! Sometimes I put on a movie after dinner if it's been a long day. I'm always open to book and tv suggestions!

I usually make a wee list in my head of a few things I want to draw from stuff I read, but I've been much busier this month so I havent really got round to doing them yet!

3) I don’t think I can point out any ideas from my childhood (other than I'm a fanartist, so the whole thing is from my youth haha!) But I guess when I draw wee cartoons, rather than fanart, I'm heavily influenced by cartoons I watched in the 90s and 00s (Loony Toons, Dexters Lab, Cow and Chicken, Jonny Bravo) 🤔

But my fanart style probably is influenced by kids books illustrations. Idk, thats a good question, I'll need to think about that!

11) No, I have something on the TV playing most of the time and I dip in and out of it. But actually a mainly zone out any noise when I'm concentrating like that and - it sounds crazy but feel like I'm Wasting the Music if I'm not listening to it properly. But I don't feel like I'm wasting the tv 😅 (I was asked this yesterday and Ive had time to thibk about it now!)

14) This is tricky because. I dont always have one set style. But! I do like to take phrases I read and draw them, like little snapshots of what I see in my minds eye. So I guess a motif is like. trying to capture the beauty in different body parts or skin. or things that seem a bit mundane at first glance. But when I read the phrases they sort of rub the inside of my brain and I want to physically see them!

I guess (considering I am on tumblr mainly for anime fandom) everything I'm interested in is a bit obscure, hahah! 😅

But if I had to pick something (more recently), it would be the topic of how Neanderthals and Homosapiens met and integrated.

Archeology is fascinating, and especially the archeology/theories surrounding Cromagnon man (early people in europe). I love to read about the theories of their possible language or how their voices may have sounded, and I love that a lot of the fragments they left behind show how unbelievably similar we are to them!!

For example, there are cave paintings that have smaller markings further down from them, the angle and pressure of which (and the height of them) suggests they were made by little kids. So you can imagine some cromagnon folk spending time on this beautiful painting of horses or something, and whilst they are doing that their kid is also practicing their painting skills right next to them, imitating their family just like little kids do today! 😍

I love the idea that people have been standing on the same cliffs where I have, mesmerised by the same sunset or feeling the same slap of cold easterly wind like we do!

(I actually started a shikatema fic based on this very topic 👀)

But basically, I am forever fascinated by the fact that (archeology shows us) human nature hasnt really changed for tens, if not hundreds of thousands of years!
