the reason this makes me so happy is because the narrative i’ve always seen revolves around trans men/trans masculine people getting top surgery, or trans men/trans masculine people needing top surgery. this is not the narrative that is true for all trans men/trans masculine people. many of us are either incapable of getting top surgery, whether it be due to financial issues or medical issues, and many of us simply do not want top surgery, or do not see it being something we will want in the future.
as a trans masculine person who does not see themself getting top surgery at any point in the future, this made me so incredibly happy to see. i feel represented with this addition of dialogue from damian. this one detail about the character made my day.
