We grow up and we are not paying attention because there was no luxury to feel everything that happens, the houses are empty, friends travel, and the streets that we were afraid of at night became empty during the day, a moment comes to look at yourself and then laugh at all the difficult circumstances you went through in Omar, you are supposed to live the best days of your life, then eat, sleep, plan for tomorrow and be surprised by yourself

The topic is not forgetting to forget, the luxury of memory has become a busy staircase, every time you open it, you close it, so you learn to live in the text, half an eye on tomorrow and a half an eye that is still hanging at a closed door, they ask us if you will see new colors, maybe, but the new colors hurt because they remind you of what went

The voices have changed, the names have been erased, the places have become pictures, and no one is talking about everyone, I ask now how are you?

So you reply to them, okay, because there is no word to explain that you are tired, but complete and that you are lost, but not dead

Maybe after years we talk about it quietly, not because it's light, but because we're tired, we remove it every day, so we put it on the side and continue

And so we grow up in my country and you may see us smiling at all the losses because it is an instinct in us

I shared my story a year ago with this very loyal dog friend.

Oh, how lucky this dog is. The story went viral in Arabic and international magazines, and was read by more than 5 million people around the world. The story was translated into seven different languages.

At the time, an organization working in the field of animal rights from the Ireland capital, Dublin, contacted me. They wanted to ensure the dog's health and living conditions in the tent we were living in together. I sent the photos, and afterward, I received a great amount of sympathy and a huge emotional response. They seriously began exploring options to evacuate the dog from the Gaza Strip through licensed institutions.

They wanted a better life, a cleaner place, and a wider sky for the dog

I wanted to remind you today about Sara and Ahmed's story today (vetted #454). Sara and Ahmed are a young couple in Ghazzah who have lost everything dear to them. They lost the apartment they were going to live in together once they were married. Ahmed lost his brother-in-law and his uncle, and his sisrer was injured in the attack that killed her husband.

Waled Al-Qatrawi's fundraiser is vetted at #480 on our verified fundraisers list. Him and his young children have been struggling to survive out of a tent made of scrap. They are exposed to the elements and the local fauna, and they are worried about snakes attacking them. They have no access to sanitation facilities, and Walid is looking to construct one urgently. Without regular access to clean water and soap, his children could get severely ill.

We are "The Noor Shams Team", a grassroots local initiative in the Gaza Strip founded and run by the families of celiac children themselves. The team representative is Ahmed Sabah, a devoted father whose own child is one of these patients battling the disease every day. As parents and relatives, we live this struggle daily. Our mission is strictly humanitarian: providing safe, gluten-free food and essential medical aid to children suffering from Celiac disease.

Under the current catastrophic conditions, access to regular food is nearly impossible—but for Celiac children, eating normal flour or contaminated food is literally life-threatening. It causes severe intestinal damage, malnutrition, and excruciating pain. Gluten-free products are completely unavailable or unaffordable in local markets right now.
