One year ago today I posted this miniature TMNT photo I created using real lighting, figures and a fudged together tube train made from random bits of crap.
Mikhail Starchenko (Russian, 1965), New York City Subway, 2020. Watercolour on thick paper, 54.4 x 75.3 cm.
I feel like I should finally make some train oc's
The train opposite always seem to empty, come fast, and comfortable.
When words became foggy, I chose pictures. Now I wonder if I should choose silence.

Ingo's Return
An unexpected surprise appears on the singles line. A huge pokemon, so tall it has to crouch inside the tunnel, appears without warning during rush hour. The portal it steps out of glows brightly with golden light, illuminating the dark tunnel. When the pokemon steps fully out, it the portal winks out, forcing the train driver to blink the after-images away.
The pokemon has the most peculiar things. A wooden bracelet on its arms, a tattered coat on its back, and in its claws, an old but familiar hat. Ingo hasn't been seen in several years, so how did this pokemon get his clothes?
Ingo is finally home. He's a bit taller than when he left, and his hair a bit longer too. Emmet won't mind though; Ingo is finally home.
Halloween Subway
Spirit Halloween store display this year, it has a functioning driving cab and seats you can sit on. I asked about buying it as a joke, but now I'm on the list to purchase it after season. It might be fun to use at the railway museum as a Halloween program/promotion or use for charity/fundraising.
It was really cute; as I was taking pictures an autistic young man came and started talking to me about real subway trains. We just sat in the seats and talked. His parents came by and told him to stop bothering me and I told them: no they have a wonderful young man and it was quite delightful to chat with him. (I'm autistic too).
Let's step out of baseball for a sec. This was a book cover. The book was about Vertigo comics, so it's Death from Sandman and John Constantine, meeting in a subway one night. Unfortunately, the book never got published.
