subtlefire replied to your post: “Operation: Flatten Clothes was a resounding success. All shirts are...”:
It helps to feel all grownup and spiffy, even in phone/Skype conversations. A+ adulting!
You’re right! I mostly listened on these calls.
subtlefire replied to your post “Hello! :D I was curious about the food options located nearby the con....”
There is also a Trader Joe's a few miles away. It is probably out a shuttle range, but there will be people with cars who don't want to see you starve or get sick from the wrong food.
Thanks for the info!
They had me at "broke ass" in that accent in No Scrubs, which was the first song of theirs I heard. I laughed out loud, listened to it 4 more times, then finally wandered off to youtube to find what else they had.
They had me at “can you fill it?” in Flaws. I was wondering why he was singing “con you fill it?” Eventually I listened and sang like that so much that when I went back to listen to Northern Downpour by Panic! At the Disco I was singing “can’t” the Dan way
I really want to see a movie in which the Blame video makes sense. It's like an extended trailer for something amazing. An amazingly weird movie, but super interesting.
I honestly don’t know where they get their ideas from. What’s the plot? Who came up with it? What’s going on??? Who knows, not me. Maybe Dan, but idk what goes on in his mind

subtlefire replied to your post: It is snowing.
*quickly knits you a hat, pushes it through the interwebs*
Thank you.
I don’t mind the snow, but I’d rather have snow-snow instead of this “winter mix” crap. At least tomorrow it’s supposed to be sunny and cold!
I missed the aro/ace Luke post! Link please? I appreciate the distraction.
It’s here!
I originally wrote it many years ago on Dreamwidth/LJ. I’d never seen anyone else say anything about it (perhaps because he was at the crux of a still infamous ship war in EU fandom), but it was ... very natural for me, lol. I sometimes interpret him differently for fannish purposes, but ... this is how I really see him.
(And if it’s my legacy to the Internet, I’m glad :P)
OMG I HAVE THOUGHTS ON OIL ON WATER. In short (bc I really do need to write an entire post) it seems like regular outside-perspective storytelling but then at the end he includes himself in the gently judgey critique of the world. BUT! Faves are definitely The Anchor and Glory.
Yeeee The Anchor and Glory are fantastic and seem to be really popular, and the whole “We’re screens away but we’re laughing with her” part sounds judgey
What’s ur fav song and why?
