the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end: after a lifetime of running, of being hunted, she’s learned to trust her intuition. and right now, there’s an overwhelming feeling of being watched. SHIT. why did this happen every time her and gwen split up? she muttered a curse under her breath, pulling her phone out and getting ready to send a message. and that’s when she sees her. a girl, probably about her age. the look she wears is one stella knows all too well ... after all, how long had she lived on the streets? how many nights had she’d waited, hungry and aching, with no guarantee of when her next meal would be?

Location of origin: a medium sized, cube-shaped object, seemingly made of the remains of dead organic terrestrial lifeforms that have been crushed and pressed into a lightweight, slightly unstable, brownish substance that then has been folded to gain it's distinct, box-like features. Said object has been found in the housing area of a hairless primate species, known to us as homo sapiens sapiens {further investigation needed}.
Description: small, flat body with several oval receptor organs, long and elegant neck, very long and thin tail that seems to be connected to the wall of the ape's homebase. On its neck rests a well proportioned, cylindrical head with blade-like mandibles. This poor individual has some sort of cage strapped to it's feeding organs, it must have been abused and withdrawn food by it's owner! This kind of animal cruelty is something our team of researchers and scientists (of whomst we have a LOT!) have to deal with every so often, a sight most horrible. [Edit: It has become obvious that the cage is in fact nessesary for the well being of any lifeform around this specimen. Its barbaric and unpredictable feeding mechanism can lead to serious injuries and the loss of limbs. If I hadn't been able to regenerate so fast, I might have ended up with only 6 arms!) It also seems to react to stimulation of the small oval receptors located across the base of its body. We have yet to find out how this works.
Functionality: In the process of feeding, the three spinning mandibles create a cool and steady stream of air, our team suspects this is the reason homo sapiens have domesticated this species in the first place, but we couldn't confirm this theory yet.
