In the end, it’s everyone focusing all their attacks on one specific spot that ultimately frees Omega from Naugus’ crystalline control (Knuckles even slamming a spikeball at it, when his spike fists might have been just as effective... xD). Omega is back to normal now, rotating his body to whoosh away the dispelled control magicks.

Omega may not be nearly as funny or bombastic in his destruction as he was pre-reboot, but at least his stilted, one-track mind personality is a little humorous in how blunt he is.

Ohoho, now this is interesting, if not the most memorable part of the entire issue! There’s a couple of pages dedicated to clearing up what Naugus was doing in the post-reboot Mobius, including how exactly he came to occupy Castle Acorn in #225 and why Tails Doll was there, and how he had lost his powers in the first place (though they don’t elaborate on how touching Nicole made him freak out, and to be frank I’m glad that they don’t xD).

Alright, get a good look at the heroes confronting crystalized Omega! We’re gonna see a lot of that this issue. The colouring and the dazzling “gleam“ effect makes it really eye-catching though!

The variant cover is meant to be a Knuckles’ Chaotix reference, what with the Combi Catcher grabbing the Chaotix in a similar way, only now they’re connected to each other, flight formation style!
