Mega Man Doodles

Following the previous post, now I would like give spotlight to the new incorporations that the comic had during the first megaman crossover and the reboot, because despite that everyone usually agree that the art in this era was extremely good, I think not everyone really understand all the talent that we had, even to nowaday, thanks to this comics.

Archie Sonic was the entrance of a lot of talent people to the franchise, like Jamal Peppers, Matt Herms, Lamar wells, Ryan Jampole, Edwin Huang or even the the famous Tyson Hesse start to working to Sonic in these comics, but also Archie Sonic was the entrance of many ones to the comic industry in general, for writers like Karl Bollers and Ian Flynn, and of course, for very talented artist like Patrick Spaziante, Jay Axer, Dawn Best, Jonathan Gray, Evan Stanley, Jennifer Hernandez, Tracy Yardley, Diana Skelly or Adam Bryce Thomas, which the majority later came back to work in the IDW comics and still do it to nowadays.

That’s why when the people say things like ‘Archie was the worst thing that ever happened to the series’ or ‘Archie sonic should never exist’ is frustrating, because is not only that these people ignore the merits of the story inside these comic, but also ignore that it was thanks to them that a lot of talent and very love workers for the fandom today, came to working in the franchise in first place. The same persons what make IDW series so great like is or help to rehabilitate the saga, start working in it thanks to these comics, If wasn’t for them, is sure or extremely probably that a lot of them never came to work within the franchise or in the case that would come later, is probably that they won’t have the same impact or influence that they have today.

So, If you like the IDW Comics, even if only was on their first years, the current videogame storyline work, the Sonic Mania Animations and most of the web animations or even the redesign of Sonic in the film, you should at least give to the Archie Comics some acknowledgment for all the great people that they brought to us.
