It's not fully anime, it's not fully western. What it definitely isn't, is simple shapes! That's why this was really fun to draw for me. I can't say I've ever considered such a concept before!

This was so stupidly difficult because I have not used thin lines in years. Also I could not figure out what type of brush she uses for shading so I ended up using the lineart brush for it

this was a ton of fun to do, and i really like how challenging it was, but i don’t think i’ll be adding lined art to my common repertoire anytime soon LMAO
saturated colours --> desaturated colours lineless --> lined smooth shapes --> hard shapes exaggerated proportions --> something closer to realism coloured overlay shading --> shading based on the base colour all colours --> using pure black and pure white
