   “ How do you do it..? “  A sad but curious voice asks the younger Inkling before him. Dae hasn’t been an agent for too long, but even still it drains away at his sanity each time he has to come down to Octarian territory. This agent business isn’t something for the faint of heart, something he would’ve liked to know before joining in. While he can handle it - a part of him wishes he didn’t have to.

      the surface was painfully bright in comparison to the drab, dim domes of the canyon. no matter --- it was nothing he couldn't handle. still, his inevitable return would not be sheathed in secrecy --- he sunk smoothly through the grates.

scavenging was his thing --- whether it be corpses of his adopted kin, or unsuspecting pockets. when he heard that the octostomp was reinstated --- only to fall again --- he was tickled. bundled tentacles hung down his back as he entered its kettle.

As is customary with Holly, her first reaction upon seeing someone she didn’t know was simply... silence. Awkward, dreadful silence, her chest already filled with the fear that this new squid was judging her.

“H...Hi. D-Do you n-normally h-hang o-out a-around here..?” She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong here, but she should at least try to be friendly. What was the worst that could happen?

     What the hell are you doing in a tournament like this?      I thought it was S-ranks only.

            ☪️ ------ Perhaps, if she paid little attention to the circumstance, the scene would not appear to be as horrendous as it was.

In fact, the majority of the situation seemed sane enough --- Bon was dancing on stage, the spotlight rightfully on her as a shrill voice sung out into the crowd. At its core, it was the crowd in the wrong --- shrieking in agony, attacking one another... oh, how dreadful.

     Through the bustling crowd, Lilly heard it. Catching her ear hook, line, and sinker, head of silver hair snapped towards the words ‘ghosts don’t exist.’ Now, Lilly was the least forward girl anyone could meet. Approach her, and she’ll evade in the beginning. That’s why it was odd seeing Lilly walk straight for the light-blue colored character, clearing her throat to ask, “Why do you say that?”

Kim didn’t mind people looking at her- a lot of people thought they could get away with it because they somehow thought she’d not notice. But of course, she did, every time.

This particular squid - she assumed she had to be, judging by her posture and size and whatnot - moved a bit when Kim ‘looked’ at her, but seemed oblivious to the fact Kim was aware she was staring.

Or, well, you know. Just rude.
