damn, I can only choose 3...? unfair. guess I'll have to choose a different three each time ppl ask. I've rambled about davaia and oddlyexquisite and luvewan before

@tohje - the yearning, the forlorn beauty of it, the way it transports you to worlds that have an entirely different colour-scheme and flavour to anything else I've read (I don't know how else to describe this, but maybe it's the fact that the imagery is different from most other fics. In momentary lights, Tohje describes the aurora borealis; in the zine fic, there is Jabiim, and later the jungle; and then of course there is Litanies, bursting with scent and sensation and warmth and cool water; and say them very quietly.) Tohje's Padawan Kenobi (from Inching) has a special place in my heart.

@meggory84 - from Beekeeping to These Circles to Constellations, the wonderful slow growing-together between Qui and Obi is new and wonderful each time. Rebel Hearts has absolutely destroyed me in the best ways, not to mention given me much-craved Qui-Gon & Ahsoka and also Qui-Gon & Ventress content. the Obi-Wan & Ventress content is also unparalleled. the dry sass, the awkward sympathy and support between enemies who are no longer enemies. and also damaged, damaged Kenobi. we do so love to see him suffer.

@outpastthemoat - the gen fics are as delicate and touching as the ship fics here. absolutely wonderful use of some of the most heartbreaking moments of JA. outpastthemoat explores both Qui-Gon's struggles and uncertainties as a teacher and Obi-Wan's fear of being abandoned across multiple ficlets. and then there is the exploration of Qui-Gon's fears and failures as he watches Knight Kenobi, and grapples with his feelings for his former Padawan 🥺

I do love a good enemies to lovers, or even a friends/lovers to enemies to lovers. by now ppl know I love spy stuff with all my little gremlin heart, so the latter holds a very special appeal. and I do like anything I haven't yet been able to write well enough myself

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

ppl revise fic??? ok no this isn't exactly a situation of #no beta we die like Imperial captains who failed Lord Vader but I feel like I have a tendency to look for approval and/or for ppl to tell me what to do rather than actually, you know, make my own decisions while writing. There were ppl I vibed with in a very specific way that it wasn't an issue—they somehow managed to head me off before it ever got there, usually by spotting issues I didn't yet see. They're just not very available, these days.
