Juan and Ocean recently returned from their annual trip to Isla Guadalupe where this photo was taken several years back. #Guadalupe is one of the best places in the world to see white sharks with unparalleled visibility, contact us if you are interested in reserving a spot for next years trip to learn more about white shark behavior and ongoing research projects in the area! ______________ #Repost @oceanramsey ・・・ An old, unpublished photo by @juansharks of me recording an ID and tag of a #great #whiteshark I highly encourage people to go diving with sharks all around the world, it’s literally one of the best, most unique experiences in life, words cannot do it justice, but I never advise people to purposely dive without a cage in proximity to #great #whitesharks without experience and meaningful intent. Great white sharks are definitely not monsters, but they are very capable #apexpredators who deserve a very high level of respect and understanding that they generally hunt marine mammals who are much more efficient than we are and rarely make a mistake #incredible. It’s been an honor to spend time studying them year after year and every year my appreciation grows. I think what fascinates me most is their language but also perhaps the extended time that they seem to take to talk things out with one another.
