i think people should lie to their bosses way more. you should not be telling your boss things that you would tell a friend. don’t say you have a date planned that weekend, just say you have plans or a prior commitment. so many things. just lie istg. your boss does not need to know this about you. keep everything purely professional. don’t tell them details of your personal life that you wouldn’t put on a job or college application.
