Lesson 1 Kim on jest? (Who is he?)
After short introducing and knowing some words in polish language, we can go to the first lesson! Welcome!
First we will know some new words!
I'm sorry / Excuse me = Przepraszam
free = wolny (masculine) wolna (feminine) wolne (neuter)
Is this place free? = Czy to miejsce jest wolne?
They = Oni (masculine), One (feminine)
name (verb) = nazywać się
what - co, jaki (masculine) , jaka (feminine), jakie (neuter or plural for feminine), jacy (plural for masculine)
stunent = uczeń (for younger people), student (for people studying on higher education institution)
english/english language = angielski/język angielski
Transformation of the verb: ,,być"
On/Ona/Ono jest = He/She/It is
Wy jesteście = You are (plural)
Jestem zabawny/zabawna = I am funny
,,zabawna" is for feminine and ,,zabawny" is for masculine
(Yes, I know, words in polish often change themselves)
Oni są daleko. = They are far.
Jestem + (kim, czym?), czyli narzędnik
I am + (who, what?) - ablative
In polish language question word and noun have sometimes to transform. It depends on cases. When you say that somethink or someone is sth you have to use this determining noun after change by ablative, so:
persona + być (but inflected!) + noun in ablative
for example: Jesteś Marta? = Are you Marta?
What is noun in ablative?
It is the noun with a variation. Below you have some examples you have to learn it if you want to can somethink. Don't worry, there will be only this words you read at the beginning of this lesson. Ok, let's start it!
uczeń (masculine) --------> uczniem
uczennica (feminine) --------> uczennicą
jaki, jaka, jakie --------> jakim, jaką, jakim
filiżanka --------> filiżanką
Masculine, faminine, neuter....
Some nouns are masculine, the others are feminine and the rest are neuter. Sad news is that we have to study it too, but good is that almost every feminine is with ,,-a" in the end. So now I show you wchich nouns are masculine, feminine and neuter:
Feminine: filiżanka, uczennica

I think It was hard today, but beginnins are often hard, and particulary for people fulfil with a big ambitions, because they chase one of harder aims but they know the easiest way to reach their target too. I can only say you ,,Good luck!" now, so... Good luck! ^^
