So, I'm currently trying to be a healthier person. One of biggest downfalls is snacking. I can't resist a nice rice crispy treat or three soft baked chocolate chip cookies... But, they aren’t necessarily the fuel I need for when I’m studying. So, I decided to make a list to give me (and now all of tumblr) some inspiration for when you get a little hungry while studying.
frozen fruit (especially frozen grapes... frozen grapes are magical)
apples and peanut butter (classic, but fantastic)
veggies and dip (my personal favorite is carrots and hummus, but go wild with the dips guys)
hard boiled eggs (with a little salt and pepper yum-o)
fruit salads (chop up some bananas and add whatever fruit you love)
kale chips (crispy AND healthy)
crackers and cheese (i love pairing whole grain crackers with some nice mozzarella)
banana sushi (cover a banana in peanut butter and roll it up in a tortilla and boom! banana sushi)
nuts (pistachios, almonds, peanuts, whatever. nuts are an easy snack with awesome healthy fats)
homemade trail mix (just mix together some pumpkin seeds, air popped popcorn, mini dark chocolate chips, and maybe some dried fruit and bam! trail mix)
air popped popcorn (great alternative to chips because it’s crunchy and salty and delicious too)
banana sundae (just take a banana, top with some frozen Greek yogurt and granola/your favorite toppings and boom... healthy ice cream sundaes)
fruit/veggie smoothies (just blitz together some yogurt, fruits, veggies, and any other add ins)
fruit and yogurt parfait (another good protein packed snack)
roasted chickpeas (another crunchy snack that is so much better than chips)
avocado toast (this will keep you full and satisfied until the next meal and give you some brain power)
roasted pumpkin seeds (OMG these are so delicious and crunchy and amazing. highly recommend)
nicecream (just blend frozen bananas with peanut butter and you’ve got a delicious peanut butter ice cream thing... or you can add other add ins that you love)
granola bars (I would recommend making your own because most are filled with sugar... I like this recipe, this recipe, and this recipe)
