Le studio néerlandais Roosegaarde, continue ses expérimentations et ses installations artistiques lumineuses avec celle ci intitulée “Windlicht”.
Ilsse se servent de puissants lasers verts qui sont pointés sur des pales d’éoliennes, qui peuvent tourner jusqu’à 280km/h, grâce à des caméras qui analysent leur mouvement et qui les relient entre elles par la lumière.
L’inspiration pour la création de cette oeuvre est un système de 19 moulins à vent construits en 1740 à Kinderdijk pour drainer une zone humide et qui représentent avec les éoliennes modernes le meilleur de l’innovation néerlandaise pour Daan Roosegaarde.
