Jim Moriarty was not a bad student. He did not disrupt the class, he did not get grades and he was barely ever directly rude to a teacher, expect when the slightest edges of sarcasm slipped into his dark Irish tone. He however did not do any work, at all. He never brought his book, and he never made notes. He simply didn't need to, and to bother writing down things he already knew was simply tedious.
He also had no friends. He had a couple of people who occasionally talked to him when they say the pale boy sitting alone, however they treated him like a charity case and it only served to make Jim angrier. He didn't need friends. He wasn't like all the ordinary people who needed friends to laugh at their jokes, and a girlfriend to feed their ego.Â
Scowling as the girl next to him, Sarah, batted her mascara coated eyelashes at him and leaned in to ask if she could copy his homework, Jim completely ignored her and turned his attention to the front of the classroom. The new teacher was supposed to have arrived 2 minutes ago.Â
As he heard the creak of the classroom door being open, the teenager shoot up, his large dark eyes glued to the source of the noise, any distraction, no matter how minuscule, was welcome right now. It was the new teacher entering, his light blond hair falling over his blue eyes and tanned skin.
