The Veil is an urban fantasy tale of identity, destiny, and the blurred lines between two overlapping worlds. You finally made it to the city you have been dreaming of escaping to. The one you swore would fix everything if you could just get there. New key, new apartment, new life. On your first night, you stand in the middle of your too quiet living room, surrounded by boxes and the hum of the air conditioner, and realise you have never been this alone in your life.
Back home, everybody knew you. Here, you have no one. No neighbour who remembers your birthday, no barista who knows your order, no friend who can show up with takeaway and a bad movie. Just you, a strange new skyline and a growing sense that something is off in a way that has nothing to do with missing your old corner store.
Then the city starts looking back.
A stranger watches your window like they have been waiting for you. Your drink spills and refuses to behave like liquid. A voice from an unknown number speaks to you like you are the middle of a story you do not remember joining. The apartment feels wrong in your bones. The building tilts in ways your eyes cannot see. Reality itself seems to breathe when you are not looking.
You find out there is a barrier between this world and another, a thin, fraying skin that keeps the ordinary and the impossible apart. It has a name. The Veil. It is weakening, and for reasons no one wants to explain properly, you are standing right where it is thinnest.
You came to this city empty handed, convinced you would have to build everything from scratch. Friends, routines, a life that felt like it belonged to you. Instead, the moment you arrive, people begin to circle. The boy you grew up with who disappeared without warning and now acts like keeping you breathing is his full time job. The beautiful stranger who looks at you like you broke his heart in a life you do not remember. The elegant warden who would rather lock you away than risk losing you. The immortal who laughs her way through eternity so she does not have to scream. The careful optimist who jokes through disaster and always has a plan. The sharp eyed fighter who treats caring like a liability and still steps between you and danger.
You spent years feeling invisible. Now every room you walk into holds at least one person who seems to know more about you than you do. They are all a little cracked around the edges from living too close to the Veil for too long. They all have opinions about what you are and what you should do. None of them agree. You wanted a fresh start. You got a front row seat to a very old war with your name scribbled in the margins.
You have to decide who to trust in a city where even the shadows feel opinionated. You have to decide whether to cling to the ordinary life you thought you wanted or step fully into the strangeness that has been waiting for you. Every choice pulls you closer to someone and further from the person you thought you were when you packed those boxes.
TLDR you finally escaped to the city you always wanted only to find the walls watching you the Veil is falling apart and a collection of dangerously devoted strangers who suddenly act like you are the one person they cannot afford to lose.

Elias had asked you to come to Dionysia to “review mission details.”
Maybe he felt bad for leaving you out of the loop again during the last mission.
“Hello?”
You peer into the meeting room. It's eerily quiet. Curtains drawn. Lamps lit low. No mission files on the table.
Elias greets you with a warm smile.
“Come on in. Take a seat.”
You lower yourself onto the couch.
He walks over to the cabinet, his back turned to you. Porcelain clinks softly. “I thought we could talk over tea. It helps settle the nerves after a mission.”
That’s strange. You hadn’t said you were nervous.
He sets a tray down on the low table between you. Two cups. Steam curling upward.
“So what did you want to discuss?”
“First,” he says, sliding a cup toward you. “Try it. It’s a new blend I recently purchased.” He takes a sip to demonstrate. “I’d like your thoughts on it.”
You bring the cup to your mouth. The floral scent is strong, almost overpowering. You blow gently across the surface before taking a careful drink.
It tastes similar to the one you were served before, except for a lingering bitterness that came after. It clung to the back of your tongue even after you swallowed.
“It’s good.” You say, forcing a polite smile. “It’s pretty similar to what we usually have. Maybe just a bit more… bitter.”
Elias smiles.
“I see.”
He doesn’t look surprised. If anything, it's like he expected it.
The room feels warmer. Or maybe it’s your body that’s heating up.
“So,” he continues, crossing one leg over the other, “regarding the anomaly we encountered…”
It’s all subtle at first. A small tremor beneath your ribs. A warmth spreading from deep within. Nausea.
The lamp light grows brighter while your vision seems to be losing its edge.
Your pulse spikes.
You look up. His mouth is moving— but the words are blurring together.
“Elias.”
He stops.
Your voice sounds far away, even to you.
“What did you put in this?”
For a moment, he simply looks at you.
Then that familiar smile returns.
“I’m impressed. You caught on quickly.”
Your stomach drops. The cup slips from your fingers, shattering against the floor. Hot liquid splatters across your legs, but you don’t feel anything– sensation is distant.
You try to stand, but instead you fall further into the couch.
Elias rises from his seat, stepping closer. His movements, unhurried.
“You shouldn’t force yourself,” he says softly. “You’ll only feel worse.”
Your limbs were heavy now. Your thoughts, lagging behind.
“Why?” you barely manage. “Why would you–?”
He kneels beside you.
For a second, there seems to be genuine pity in his eyes.
“Please understand.” His hand brushes your hair back with unsettling gentleness.
“This was the only way to satisfy him.”
Your eyes close.
______________
As you wake, your body lurches forward, or at least it tries to.
Something digs into your skin.
You look back.
Red rope coils tightly around your wrists, binding your arms behind the back of a chair. Your ankles similarly are bound and secured to its legs.
You wriggle against the ropes. Nothing. Not even an inch. It’s too tight.
“You’re awake.” Your head snaps up. Shion sits across from you, chin resting in his palm, eyes bright. “I was waiting.”
“Shion,” you breathe.
“Ding ding ding,” he beams, “That’s right~” His voice is cheerful but the room is dim. The long table between you is scratched, stained, worn down from years of use.
The waku waku room.
The one he always invited you in and every time, you refused to enter.
“Why are you doing this?” you ask, as calmly as possible.
“Why?” Shion echoes, as if the answer was obvious. “Because we’re family. And families live together.”
Your stomach drops.
“Family?”
“Yeah,” he counts off with his fingers, “Elias is the dad. Jo is the mom. Mio is my little brother.” His eyes travel to you. “And you’re my wife.”
You pull at the ropes again. “Let me go.”
“Don’t worry, you’ll adjust. It’s a bit dark but soon it’ll feel like home.”
He says it as if he believes it.
Knowing you can’t get through to him, you shout, “Mio! Jo! Someone–”
Something slices across your cheek. It stings.
A playing card flutters to the ground.
“Be quiet,” his voice is no longer cheerful, “It’s tea time.”
He stands.
That’s when you notice the cup in front of you. Cold. No steam. As if it’s been there for hours. Your throat tightens.
“Oh,” he says softly. “Are you thirsty? You want a sip?”
Reminded of how you got here, you shake your head immediately.
But he doesn’t wait.
Each step he takes, a floorboard creaks loudly.
“Shion,” you say, forcing your voice to stay level. “If you want me to stay, you can’t treat me like this.”
He pauses for a second.
Then he grins again.
“Open your mouth.”
“No.”
“It’s not drugged this time,”
You clamp your jaw shut, shaking your head.
His fingers grip your chin aggressively, nails digging into your skin.
“Open.”
You study his eyes. Flat. No light in them.
You jerk your head forward and sink your teeth into the web of his hand.
He chuckles sharply– more surprised than hurt.
“That’s cute.”
He grabs the cup and tips it.
Liquid floods into your mouth. It spills down your throat. Over your lips. Into your collar.
You choke. You cough. You try to turn your head.
But he holds you still until every last drop is gone.
Your pants fill the silent room.
He wipes your chin with his thumb, watching you.
“See?” he says gently. “It’s good, right?”
______________
There are no windows. Not even a crack of sunlight is allowed inside. There’s no shadows that shift to tell you time has passed. Only dim lamps.
Click.
Your eyes fly to the door. Shion drifts inside, swinging a plastic bag in one hand.
“I’m home~”
You don’t answer. You’ve learned that silence irritates him.
He frowns. “What did I tell you before? You’re supposed to say ‘welcome home.’ That’s how it works.”
Click.
He leaves the room only to come back in after a few seconds.
“I’m home.”
You clench your jaw.
“...Welcome back.”
A smile immediately spreads across his face.
He sets the bag down in front of you. “I brought food. I thought you’d be hungry.”
Hungry.
You don’t remember the last time you ate without him watching.
He drags a chair beside yours. Too close. Always too close.
“Say ah~” a fork hovers near your mouth.
You hesitate.
His eyes shift subtly. Testing you.
You open your mouth.
He beams.
“See? You’re learning.”
The food tastes so bland it's nauseating. You force yourself to chew slowly.
You hold back tears, knowing you can’t show weakness.
He likes it when you cry.
He watches every movement from your mouth to your jaw to your throat.
“Now, was that so hard?” he asks softly.
You swallow.
“No.”
He hums with joy, wiping the corner of your mouth with a napkin.
“Good girl.”
Your stomach twists.
It takes everything in you to not pull away.
He’s right. You are learning.
But it’s not to please him.
He feeds you rice.
You open your mouth before he even asks.
“That’s my wife.”
You don’t correct him. You tried that once.
Now you’re simply observing. Counting.
His moods. His ticks. His steps. And how many seconds it takes him to leave the room.
______________
You’re not sure how many days have passed. Just as Shion’s mood changes without warning, so does his schedule.
You stopped asking what time it was. You stopped correcting him when he calls you wife. You stopped flinching every time he came near.
You started greeting him with a smile. You started listening when he complained about his day. You started responding during tea time.
Maybe you would’ve enjoyed it all. If you weren’t tied down to a chair.
Click.
You open your mouth ready to say it.
“Welcome back–”
The words die in your throat.
A familiar silhouette stands in the doorway.
Elias.
Your expression hardens instantly
“Now, now,” he closes the door behind him, “that's a scary expression you have on.”
“Then how should I look at you?” Your voice is sharper than it’s been in days. “With gratitude?”
He slowly walks toward you.
“I understand you’re upset,” he says. “Rightfully so. But you see, Shion was planning to do something far more… destructive. I had to redirect him.”
For the first time in a while, you strain against the ropes.
“Then redirect him again. Tell him to stop. All of this.”
Elias tilts his head, deep in thought.
“I’m not the ring leader here. I think you’re overestimating my authority.”
You both know that’s a lie.
Your nails claw into your palm.
It’s strange.
It was Shion who tied you to this chair.
And yet, the anger in your chest burns hotter for Elias.
He crouches down beside you, examining the ropes.
“Oh dear. He’s restrained you so tightly.”
He starts to unravel the knot around your ankle. It’s not enough to escape, just enough for your skin to breathe.
Then, your wrists.
He frees both your hands completely.
Blood painfully rushes back to your shoulders. The relief is dizzying.
Completely numb, they fall uselessly to your side.
For a second, It’s like you’ve forgotten what to do with freedom.
Then instinct takes over. You swing at him.
Elias catches your wrist before your hand can reach him.
You try to pull back. But with your weak state, you could do nothing but shake. He brings your wrists together easily, holding them in one hand. With the other hand, he reties the rope and secures them to one side of the chair.
Less restrictive. Yet somehow more suffocating.
“Does Shion know you’re doing this?” You ask quietly.
“Don’t worry. He won’t hurt you for this.”
The reassurance confirms what you feared.
Elias has far more power than he pretends.
Your heart aches with betrayal.
His fingers rise to your face.
You flinch.
Gently, he tucks a strand of hair behind your ear.
“Just bear it a little longer,” He says, voice deceivingly sincere, “It’ll all end soon.”
He leaves without another word.
Click.
The solitude– the silence sends your thoughts reeling.
MC gets reincarnated in genshin impact and through a series of unfortunate events that MC had no control over they end up in the fatui and during their first deployment in Mondstadt they end up fighting the traveler and friends.
And fatui!MC somehow wins!? It was a 1v4 and by some miracle of the divine MC won ( it wasn’t a miracle MC is just really ‘good’ (read as once in a millennia prodigy) at fighting and has really bad self-esteem/self confidence about their own abilities)
Traveler and friends leave the encounter with a few broken ribs, a dislocated arm, a ton of lacerations and bruises (caused by both bladed weaponry as well as MCs fists.)
MC after that heart attack induced encounter decides to take a nap before going back to the fatui base and after MC wakes up they return to their base to find it utterly wrecked.
Turns out traveler and friends destroyed the place while MC was taking their nap.
Anyways since the base was destroyed MC get reassigned to liyue
Where the same thing happens again, except this time MC somehow get into a fight with xiao ( someone who in MCs mind is way above her pay grade)
MC runs away in terror after barely surviving (MCs perspective of what went down) meanwhile xiao is wondering what the hell just happened and did he just nearly lose to a fatui grunt?!
Stuff like this keeps just keeping happening to MC every single time they enter a nation. (This is what’s happening from MCs prospective)
MC gets Settled in to their new post
MC somehow runs into the traveler and fights them and barley survives
MC somehow ends up fighting someone powerful and by some miracle survives.
But from the traveler and friend’s perspective it’s basically just them questioning who the hell is this person and who the hell taught them how to fight!? Because every time they travel to a new nation this random fatui grunt is there and ready to beat their asses black and blue for the f###ing 3rd time this week! And the traveler is getting really tired of getting their teeth knocked out via drop kick.
TLDR fatui!MC is basically Ciaphas Cain and traveler and friends are living in paranoia of fatui!MC appearing every time they travel to a new nation
And that’s it for now hopefully this was comprehensible and enjoyable
Anyway feedback and comments are appreciated and have a good day/night
Ps forget to add this in, MC fighting style is basically a combination of Yuji Itadori from JJK, baki hanma from Baki the grappler and Hercules from fate grand order/fate stay night (if you know the lore about any of these characters you know how ‘good’ mc is at combat)
Ooohhh! Cool! 🤩
Heh, at this rate, the Tsaritsa might upgrade Fatui!MC to a higher position if they keep beating the Traveler and co up
Actually, makes me imagine that Childe also starts coming for them as well, looking for a good sparing buddy!
...Meanwhile this happens and Fatui!MC is stressed the fuck out. They didn't want to fight this battle hungry guy! They just wanted to finish their paperwork!
Oh gosh, imagine if Fatui!MC manages to get enough control over their life and just retires from the Fatui altogether. They still somehow bump into the Traveler, but the Traveler is like "FUCK NO!" And high tails it away from MC... who just sighs in relief and goes abour gardening.
Being the lead singer in Japan's number one band comes with little complaint. You get to travel the world with some of your closest friends, create music, and overall do the thing you love most.
However, as your band reaches those in other countries, spreading like a wildfire, there are more and more threats from the media. A stalker has begun to send you personal information, pictures of you in your home, and packages with contents that leave you more than concerned.
The entirety of the band, as well as your manager, insist that you hire a bodyguard. With help, you hire the top security guards the market as to offer; Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku.
During a world tour, you often find yourself in between them, constantly under their protection. When the line between professional and friendship starts to fade, you begin to question yourself; will you pine after sweet, caring Izuku or stubborn, strong Katsuki?
The crowd buzzed with excitement, cheering and pumping their fits in the air. The show has yet to begin, but I'm eager, my heart pounding with anticipation. The stage is set up and ready to go. The only thing missing is us; Jirou on bass, Kirishima on drums, Denki on lead guitar, and Mina on keyboard. It was difficult trying to organize with the band when we first started, but they all agreed I should be the lead vocalist.
Since our garage days, we've grown to be Japan's #1 band. Our music is everywhere; in grocery stores, on the radio, on the billboards of the main city. Tonight is the last local concert we'll have before officially starting the world tour. After this, we'll have a month long hiatus in preparation of the biggest tour we've yet to do.
The staff is surrounding me and my fellow band members, touching up our outfits and makeup. Jirou is in a dark outfit with even darker makeup. She's a fan favorite because of her grunge-y exterior. Denki is adorned with yellow accessories, his electric guitar hanging on his shoulder. His fingers play with the strings. Mina is covered head-to-toe in pink, a bright smile on her face as she allows one of the artists to douse her in glitter. Kirishima is comfortable in a chair while a stylist hairsprays his red hair that spike up. One would be surprised to know just how much work goes into making his hair stay up.
I'm currently getting a few finishing touches to my costume. My look is comfortable yet flashy. The main reason why people were so attracted to our band was because of our distinct differences. Jirou was quiet and dark, but a firecracker on the stage. A lot of our songs left room for her solos. In person, however, everyone noticed how monotone she seemed to be. Denki was electric and a flirt. He was a comedian, always the one to talk the most in interviews. The amount of memes on that guy was absured. Mina came close to being the most talkative. In the fanbase, she was most known as the youngest sister, the fun one. Her entire aesthetic was pink. Kirishima was resilient and the gentleman. A lot of people fell for him for his "manly" persona. Not to mention his beats.
I've grown to be the leader, naturally as the vocalist. I'm often the one leading the band during award shows and special events. In interviews, you can see more often than not I'm correcting my friends and stopping them from saying to much. There are so many YouTube compilations titled "L/N being the most media trained."
As the staff begins to back away, starting to allow the tech time to adjust our ear pieces and instruments, we're exchanging encouraging comments, the performance close to starting.
"Last one before the world tour guys!" I shout over the crowd. "We got this!"
"Aww yeah!" Denki yells, a bright smile on his face.
"Don't be worried about your solo, Kiri," I reassure, throwing up a thumbs up. "You're gonna do great!"
"Thanks, L/N!" he smiles.
"We're trying out the new harmonization today, right girls?" Jirou asks. She's confirmed so many times, but I know she's just worried about this performance really kicking off since it's the last one before our big tour.
"Yes, girl, stop worrying so much!" Mina gives her a playful shove.
Jirou giggles, the nerves slowly disappating.
We all take a moment when our manager comes into view. His arms are crossed and though he looks intimidating, we're all instantly smiling even brighter.
"Alright, all the tech is ready and the stage is set," he tells us, looking over all of us to ensure we're listening. "Be sure to give it your all. And Denki, don't try to go to the barricades again. The security here is under strict rules to make sure you're on the stage at all times."
Denki chuckles. "Yeah, yeah!"
Mina sags her shoulders, disappointed at the order. "No fun!"
"Alright guys, fifteen seconds! Start taking your place on stage!" Our earpieces all send the same message.
"Go for it," Aizawa says. We nearly miss it, but the corners of his mouth turn up just lightly.
We finally file in a line and walk up the steps to the stage. The sound of the crowd gets even louder as they see us. The lights have darkened and to them, only our silhouettes are visible. We're performing in the peak of summer, so the air is warm despite it being around 8PM.
I watch the fans, my heart blooming at the sight. It never fails to amaze me how much people are devoted to us, to our cause. I notice a few in the front with tears in their eyes. I fight back the urge to cry with them.
After settling into our stage areas, we all give each other a smile, eager to get the performance started. Kirishima lifts his drumsticks in the air and slaps them together. Instantly, the crowd quiets down.
I open my mouth and allow a few hums to escape my lips. It's the beginning of one of our hit songs. My voice echoes through the stage, the soundwaves reaching the very top of the stands.
"Are you ready?!" I yell into the mic.
Everyone shouts in response. Their energy is contagious. Suddenly, the music starts, my bandmates focused on their instruments.
The show has begun.
---
Beneath the stage lights, you can see us glistening with sticky sweat. The last notes are ringing through the stage, through the crowd, and my final note hangs in the air. Finally, as the show comes to an end, we all remove our ear pieces, taking in the mass.
We're huffing and puffing, our shoulders weighed down with exhaustion. Denki and Mina wave frantically, blowing kisses to the fans. Jirou is on her knees, reaching towards the people at the front. Kirishima removes his shirt and throws is forcefully in the center of the stands. I'm running around the entire stage, trying to show love to everyone.
"Thank you all for coming! We love you so much!" I shout into my mic. "One last bow!"
I gather my friends, all of us giggling with pride and the feeling of the night finally coming to an end. We wrap ourselves together and bend at the waist, bowing with gratitude.
The claps and shouts and yells and cries are enough to make me shake with a sob that escapes me. Mina and Denki cry as well, holding me tightly. Kirishima shoves a fist in the air. Jirou simply takes it all in. Hand-in-hand, we leave the stage.
"We did so good!" Mina shouts, instantly being met with our urgent staff.
A bottle of water with a straw meets my lips. I take in gulps of water, grateful for the way it soothes my throat. The others also take in drinks, some even taking snacks that are offered.
Aizawa is walking beside us, ordering the staff to meet our needs. Our sweat is wiped off with a few towels, mini fans blow into our heated faces, and our equipment is slowly but surely being stripped away. Beneath the stage, we're all lead to the dressing rooms.
When I finally push through the door and I'm relieved of my staff, I take in a breath. I'm alone, finally able to relax. I tread through the small room towards my vanity. I undress myself and slip the dress onto a hanger, careful to not damage the fabric. The energy has settled into a dull buzz.
I slide into my chair and look into the mirror. My makeup stayed intact, still glittering. I start to remove it all, the makeup remover on the cottonpads soothing my skin.
A knock on the door halts my routine.
"Come in!" I yell over my shoulder.
Through the mirror, I can see Aizawa. He walks toward me, his brows knit together. I tilt my head in confusion.
"Aizawa?" I question, spinning in my chair to face him.
A sigh heaves out of his chest. "We need to talk about something. I was going to tell you before the performace, but decided against it."
"What about the others?" I lift myself from the chair, tighting my arms around my body.
"Would you like them here?" he asks, reading my body language and facial expressions.
"Well, what is it?" The question comes out slow and hesitant. A part of me doesn't want to know.
"There have been threats coming directly to the business email," he informs me, straightforward and though there is little to no emotion in his words, I can see that he's being careful. "Someone has been sending photos of you in your home and they're rather... intimate."
"What do you mean?" My heart beats spike.
"I mean there are a few of you while you're sleeping, in the restroom and changing in your bedroom," he explains.
My breathing instantly comes to a halt. A dizzy feeling overwhelms me, a pounding headache beginning to take place at my temples. I drop into my seat. Aizawa is quick to go on his knees before me. I've had stalkers before. They've come to every show, pushed through the crowds of fans to ensure they're in the front rows. Without fail, they've managed to be at every coffee shop, shopping center, show, award ceremony, everything. Everyone in the group has experienced this, however.
It's never gotten to this point. Sure, we've gotten a few scares with leaked phone numbers and private social media accounts, but photos of me in my own home? What do they have? What exactly do these photos reveal? Have they been leaked to the fans? No, surely I would've found out sooner.
"What do they have?" I urge.
"They have a lot, but according to our social media specialists, none of it is on the web."
"We need to tell the others. Are they also being... threatened?" The word feels like sandpaper on my tongue.
"No, it seems to be just you so far," he reveals.
Goosebumps rise on my skin. A shudder goes down my spine. A million questions flood my mind and anxiety sits uncomfortably on my chest. Why? Why am I the only one being targeted?
"There's another thing," he sighs, like he doesn't want to tell me anymore. "Security had to stop someone from sneaking into the dressing rooms during your performance."
My jaw clenches and I'm looking at my room, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary. I feel sick to my stomach.
There's a knock on the door and I flinch at the sound. Aizawa stands up from the ground and opens the door slightly, peeking through the crack to see who it might be.
"What are you doing here?" Mina questions. Her voice instantly relieves my stress.
I release a breath I hadn't realized I was holding in.
"Do you mind getting the others?" Aizawa orders.
Mina glances to me, no doubt noticing my timid figure. But she doesn't say anything. She leaves, quick to gather the others, and soon enough, they're piling into the room. They all share the same concern and confusion I had when Aizawa first came into the room.
It's silent at first, a shared sense of worry hanging in the air. They've all changed out of their performance costumes, makeup wiped away and into more comfortable clothes. Denki wears a Pikachu robe. The sight would've normally made me giggle, but there is no humor in me.
Kirishima is the first to break the silence. "What's going on?"
Aizawa explains the situation in detail, careful not ot leave anything out. They're quick to take my side. Mina plants a reassuring hand on my shoulder. Kirishima is on his knees, just as Aizawa was just moments before, and he also has a hand on my knee.
They bring me comfort, but it doesn't stop the overwhelming anxiety.
"So what are we going to do?" Jirou asks when Aizawa is done retelling the story he had told me.
"Yeah, that punk has no right!" Kiri says.
"Well, I've been talking to the team and we've all agreed to ensure security is heavy at every show during the world tour," Aizawa informs. "We're watching every person that comes in and out of every performance. There's also been a bit of talk about something else."
"Like what?" Mina questions.
"L/N, this part is up to you, but I highly encourage you hire bodyguards," he conveys.
"What? Absolutely not," I stand, quick to get defensive. "There's no way I'm going to get watched 24/7 just because some freak is threatening me."
"C'mon, nows not the time to be stubborn!" Denki protests, throwing his hands in the air. "You're being watched in your own home!"
"I can take care of myself just fine, I don't need a couple of shadows!" I fight. My head shakes at the idea.
I don't want to reveal weakness or fear. That'd just be proving to the stalker I'm accepting defeat.
"Listen, I'm all about girl power, but this is serious, Y/N," Mina says.
Kirishima stands with me, crossing his arms. "I'm with Aizawa on this one. No one is saying you're not capable of taking care of yourself, but you can never be too sure. What if this shit gets out?"
"What exactly are the threats?" Jirou presses.
"As of right now, they're simply sending the photos with a single message. Watch your back." A muscle in Aizawa's jaw twitches.
"Absolutely fucking not. Y/N, if you don't hire bodyguards, we're hiring them for you," Denki affirms.
"But guys-"
"But nothing! We're not hearing this! This is dangerous, Y/N," Kirishima cuts me off. His tone is stern, leaving me no room to fight against him. "I know the perfect guy."
I weigh the options in my head, trying to identify every outcome. I know, deep down, just how right they are. I'm frustrated with it all, but realistically, I can't watch my back at all times. It's so easy to get lost in the crowd. Who's a fan and who's the enemy? Can I really trust everyone who's been showing me love?
My fists are clenching and unclenching. Everyone is eyeing me, giving me space to really think about it. They're aware of my stubborness. I've always been a perfectionist. As a performer, it's grown into an obsession. It's no longer a want, it's a need. This feels like I'm losing control. I have no real say in this. My fate is in the hands of some stranger on the internet.
All of the work I put in could be ripped from me at any moment. If those photos get out, my image will be so tainted. I could ruin the group. Everyone will have to deal with the reprocussions.
"I'm leaving."
"What??" they all shout in unison.
"That won't be necessary," Aizawa says, but there's a slight tremor in his voice.
"I can't hold you guys back." Tears swell in my eyes. "You've all worked so hard. If this gets out, we're done. You're done."
"We started this together," Jirou says, stepping forward and getting hold of my hand. "If it ends, we're ending it together."
"Yeah, this band wouldn't be a band without you," Kirishima comforts. "Please. Please, I know the perfect guy who you can hire. I trust this guy with my life. He works under the Endeavor Security."
"Well, we've been discussing hiring two," Aizawa says.
"Two??"
"Luckily, my guy typically works with another friend of mine," Kirishima states.
"Yeah, listen to him, Y/N," Denki urges.
My heart is pounding as if it might break free from my chest. I watch them all. They all share the same worried expression.
Slowly, the acceptance fills me. It's suffocating. I want to push it away. I want don't want to accept defeat. I want to push past this, to hunt down the freak themself and fight against it. None of this was supposed to happen. I've heard of it, of the horrors, but it never crossed my mind. I never thought I'd be the one experiencing it.

Y/N finds herself in not just her school teacher and principal but in front of the whole Jujutsu Higher-ups. Waiting to be judged for her actions.
The room was full of chattering with her name leaving their mouths with spite.
"We've been tolerating this brat for way too long"
"How long is she going to hurt her family's name?"
"How disappointing especially for the L/N clan."
One cleared their throat and it silenced everyone. For the first time, she went in it had quite down.
"THIS IS THE LAST TIME WE ARE GOING TO ASK! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR LAST MISSION?" A thin, breathy voice spoke but it was loud and threatening.
Anyone sitting in Y/N's position would've wavered or burst out crying from that one statement. But her, from the cold, dead eyes she returned them a smirk. This surely wasn't the first time.
"Good. 'Cause I won't be repeating what I've been saying this past several times that you asked me that." She still found the courage to be sarcastic. "I. Didn't. Do. Anything."
"EXACTLY! WHY DIDN'T YOU DO ANYTHING!?" A bang from their fist colliding the table indicated their frustrations.
"I don't know. I was late, I guess?" She just shrugged like she wasn't tied in ropes with multiple talismans to restrict her. "Probably did everyone a favor."
"WHAT!? HOW DARE YOU—"
"Didn't you all hear what the non-sorcerers convicted? He was a rapist and everyone in that place knew. But they all turned a blind eye."
"YOU LET A SPECIAL-GRADE CURSE GO ON A RAMPAGE KILLING 60 PEOPLE AND THE REMAINING WAS INJURED FROM A FIRE THAT ERUPTED AFTER!!! WE JUJUSTU SORCERERS DO NOT HAVE BUSINESS DEALING WITH NON-SORCERERS."
She let out a scoff, "Then am I just going to let them do their sinful acts?"
It made her angry, so angry that as she stood up some talisman broke because she fought the restrictions placed.
"What we only need to do is eliminate curse spirits to protect—"
She finally stopped resisting and flopped back to her seat with a sigh.
"Protect? Why would it protect those monkeys." She held her head low as she whispered. "She only saw the curses but they blamed her and did those unforgivable acts."
Y/N was brought back to the time where she had been investigating the place. That dreaded old man led her to a shattering shack. Soft sniffles were coming from it. As the door opened with a creak, a woman, dressed just as the worn-out place was while seated in the far corner.
He had blamed the woman for the sudden disappearances and deaths in the place. The woman only cried more but did not say nor deny anything the man was saying. Y/N knew the full picture. It wasn't the woman who was at fault but everyone who pointed fingers at her.
Planning to save the woman, Y/N had snuck into the place at night time where she can convince her to leave without the threatening stares of the man from earlier. But as she neared the location she heard the woman's wails. The nearby houses shut their lights off completely ignoring the horrifying sounds.
Y/N rushed and saw the man forced to remove the woman's clothes as she struggled under him. She saw her and the sheer panic and the cry for help in her eyes made Y/N's sight turned black. The next thing she knew, the woman was running away from the shack. Beside her feet was a pool of red while some dripping from her weapon at hand.
At the time when the corpse was found all the fears of everyone had made a powerful curse that devoured the whole place. And maybe her, accidentally dropping her lighter on the fuel that the people spilled while running away from the chaos was the cause of the fire.
"WHAT!?"
"I said, I'm sorry for being weak and not getting to the scene on time." She threw her head back so they can take a look at her cheeky smile. "Isn't that what you all wanted to hear?" letting out a chuckle.
"This brat is hopeless." The other higher-ups started their remarks once again.
"Now that I apologized can someone remove these restraints already? She held out her wrists that were tied with ropes and hanging talismans. "If you don't want me to do it myself." letting out a low growl.
"Gojo Satoru untie your student. And Principal Yaga, stay here. We will discuss what punishment she will receive."
The two had been standing in the corner observing everything. They held their breath to a scene that was a little too familiar and it scared them, specially Gojo.
As he removes the strong restraints he crouched down so that he can see the young girl's face. Those dead eyes, it was the same and it came with the feeling he thought he'll never experience again.
'Just like that time years ago' He thought.
"Did you do it, Y/N?" Gojo asked, for once was serious while he escorted her out.
"What do you think, sensei?" She turned to him with that sweet smile that everybody loved about her and walked away.
He looked at her in disbelief until she was out of his sight. Principal Yaga was already at his side while he put a hand on his shoulder.
"Is this how it was like back then?" He held his head down.
"It isn't too late. Don't make the same mistake I made."
One last pat and he left Gojo to think about his past and the possibility that that nightmare will happen again.
