Great work in the Life Classes as students complete their portfolios and we approach the end of term.
Daisy came into collect her 3D printed final shoe design after winning the Clarks Shoe Design assignment on last year’s Art Foundation. The shoe was the result of a week’s work experience in the Clarks factory in June and was produced in China from Daisy’s final orange and citrus themed design. Having completed her Foundation course Daisy is now studying on the fine Art BA (Hons) programme at Plymouth University.
Cardboard Catwalk 2019
We made cardboard outfits in just 48 hours from start to catwalk ready. First week of college and hit the ground running! We were team ‘Mythical with a message’ and we did this: A hybrid of three endangered species- #Elephant, #Pangolin and #Albatross al made from card and paper tape, split pins, glue and string.
Made my #catwalkmodel debut too- not sure #lobutain or #Gucci do elephant legs but their heels must be easier to walk in!
ears and wings both moves so not only did I have to walk with restricted vision as teh mask kept slipping, but was able to flap wings and ears too.
Music we walked to was #tusk by #fleetwodmac, chosen for the lyrics ‘ just tell me that you love me, just tell me that you need me’ , which we thought was appropriate for these critically endangered species.
