𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎 𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒   california.   he   hates   it.   he   hates   california   with   such   a   raging   passion   that   new   york   almost   looks   pleasant   compared   to   it.   that   must   be   why   the   gods   have   sent   him   here,   why   they   have   directed   his   attention   to   sherman   oaks   (   the   name   makes   him   want   to   vomit;   it   sounds   straight   from   some   sappy   80’s   teen   drama   ).   case   &&   point:   it   is   three   in   the   afternoon,   he   has   had   far   too   little   whiskey   to   be   pleasant   with   the   world,   &&   he’s   lost   as   hell.   no   god   gave   him   a   map.   even   if   they   did,   verso   reckons   he   wouldn’t   be   good   at   reading   them;   he   navigates   by   feeling   &&   stray   breezes,   &&   the   wind   here   almost   feels   hostile. he   comes   to   a   stop   on   a   corner,   grumbles   under   his   breath,   &&   fishes   his   flask   out   from   his   pocket.   ozone   &&   death   rolls   off   from   him;   though   he   doubts   mortals   can   smell   the   latter,   the   few   which   pass   him   avoid   him   as   if   they   can.    what   the   hell   does   a   safehouse   even   look   like,   anyways?

sol's laughter is generally quiet chuckles, where when he's hella amused, he's covering his mouth to stifle the sound. its the type of laughter that's not loud but tends to move through his entire body. and because he can be easily amused, it usually ends up with him having tears in eyes, his chuckling turning into light wheezing, nearly soundless.

quality time ! he truly enjoys spending time with his person, a lot. even when they're just sitting in silence. that's enough for him. it also helps that he's a great listener and hugger, so if you need emotional support, sol is your guy !

home lost it's meaning for awhile because it was defiled. but now home is whereever he can find peace. peace to know both his mom and sister are safe. peace in knowing he can be himself, and the people/person who he cares for will always know they have a place in his heart.

its a very raspy sound, one from being unused, genuinely. voice acting, he's imitating laughter but his own is rarely used. but when he does, its warm but raspy, but no less genuine for when he does feel it.

acts of service. min seo is very big on remember what his partners or friends enjoy, like their favorite order or something they had mentioned in passing. it makes him feel good when he's able to take some burdens off someone's plate and make their life easier.

he honestly isn't sure yet. he hasn't really found a place or something to call home. he wants to know that security and safety is like.

its often loud, carefree. 'lino doesn't shy away from taking up space. its one of those things he learned from his older siblings. and because his laughter is loud, drawing attention, 'lino's laughter tends to trickling down into him giggling.

physical touch. this might be cliche, but it's also how his family showed their love. through hugs, forehead kisses, hair ruffling, cuddling. to him, it's also how he shows his own love, but also through food. he loves feeling his partners skin, nothing sexual about it, just being able to touch them, to inhale their scent and hold them close.

One second they were sitting on the edge of the roof with Kevin putting up with the smell of smoke as long as Andrew put up with his talking down over the last night's game. In truth, the Foxes put together a hell of a show despite being down so many players. Andrew and Neil were still benched and the rest of the line was still pulling themselves together in the wake of the Ravens attack.

An attack that was his fault. An attack that started in a locker room in West Virginia and still rippled out amassing a causality by the day. One that even in California Jean was still not safe from.

And maybe it is somewhere between the bottle pulling from his lips and Andrew's non answer that Kevin realizes. His stomach jerks like it does during a heavy check as he looks to his side and doesn't see Andrew. His eyes drop down and he sees black hoodie and blonde hair and—

" Shit ! " Bottle gone from his hand, Kevin threw his legs back hooking his hips on the lip of the roof to grab Andrew's hand. It is stupid instinct that it is his left one that goes for him and it shakes as it grabs onto Andrew's to stop the fall. His right one drops down to latch onto thick black armbands maybe running over years of careful touch and boundaries and promise.

a   perfectly   manicured   pair   of   hands   reach   out   .   they   must   be   connected   to   her   ,   but   it   hardly   seems   so   ,   but   she   remembers   the   polish   color   .   opal   ,   that   was   the   name   ,   acquired   at   some   swanky   shop   that   closed   just   as   quick   as   it'd   opened   .   holding   the   woman's   face   seems   to   steady   her   own   body   .   not   for   long   ,   her   very   cells   long   to   move   ,   to   flutter   around   the   room   like   a   crazy   person   .   takes   one   to   know   one   ,   she   supposes   .

But seriously though, I know we just started chatting and getting to know each other and getting to catch each other's vibes but it has been SO MUCH FUN. I cannot wait to explore all these different muses and AUs with you and see how you bring these characters to life. YOUR  BODY  ACHES.  you  did  this  to  yourself.  every  breath  reminds  your  lungs  of  exactly  how  overworked  they  are;  every  time  you  blink,  you  have  to  fight  to  open  your  eyes  again  ‘gainst  the  weight  of  exhaustion;  you’ve  downed  two  bottles  of  water  and  are  halfway  through  your  third  when  your  better  sense  finally  works  its  way  to  the  front  of  your  mind  again.  

you  fish  your  phone  out  from  your  gym  bag,  scroll  down,  and  send  a  quick  message  to  a  contact  tagged  with  a  rose.  the  curb  is  as  good  a  place  to  text  from  as  any,  sat  against  its  edge  as  you  are  with  your  legs  pulled  close  to  your  chest  and  your  hair  dampened  with  sweat. 

I  hate  to  be  a  bother,  but  I  need  to  hitch  a  ride  back  to  the  tower.  I  can  pay  for  gas  if  you  need  it.  I  may  or  may  not  be  able  to  feel  my  legs  right  now. I  also  may  or  may  not  have  jogged  to  the  gym  to  begin  with.  On  an  unrelated  note,  I  got  a  new  personal  best  for  running  a  mile. Sorry.
