Downgaze got a scar

ElementClan is experiencing a nice couple of moons.  Creekstar (114) is feeling more relaxed than she can ever remember being.  She is impressed with Streamhiss’s (31) skill and playfully teases Brightmouse (35) for missing a catch.  Primcrest (102) is waiting impatiently for Bluestripe (35) to be given the proven status.  She’s always reliable and has shown no signs of evil. Creekstar says she’ll consider it.   Lilacdrizzle (27) has decided to play hard to get and turns up his nose at a gift Spotfoot (41) gives him.  Whorlkit (5) has noticed that Downgaze (41) is spending a lot of time with Sweet Marmalade (45).  She just doesn’t get it.  Sweet Marmalade isn’t even that funny!  Hopedawn (49) is feeling exhausted from mediating.  She knows her work is important, but is it really meant to be this draining?  Greenrapid (16) has developed a technique using his water-blessing to make it look like his pelt is shining (not to try and attract Hershey’s-26- attention at all, no).  Hershey has discovered that he enjoys spending time with both Greenrapid and Bluestripe.  Is there any chance both of them would like to be his mate?

Rindlepaw (16) has finally earned her full Healer name!  Though her actions often come across as lighthearted, she has worked hard to earn her name of Rindlefur, and mews that she’ll protect ElementClan as a Healer.  Though she starts giggling right after she says it, causing a few purrs of amusement from starry onlookers.  Blizzardpaw (12) has also been made a warrior with the name of Blizzardback for their forethought.  Streamhiss (20) considers herself lucky to have been able to train such an amazing young cat and looks forward to seeing the warrior they become.  Sweet Marmalade (34) is proving to have good luck (or maybe bad luck, depending on how you look at it).  He got dropped by an eagle but miraculously survived with only a broken leg.  At least it’s not a broken back this time!  While Echomoor (30) and Tumbleswoop (38) are both in the Healer’s den after Echomoor came down with greencough, they realize that they don’t want to live without each other and become mates.  Yay!  Rootwing (16) is still struggling with mediating and makes a situation with ChaffinchClan worse.  Maybe Hopedawn (38) should stop sending her son out on his own.   Hopedawn, instead of helping her son become a better mediator, is joking about ChaffinchClan with Kestrelcreek (38).  That’s a choice. Vaxxstreak (135)  appreciates his kits and thinks that Echomoor was nice to him today.   Downgaze (30) is developing a bit of a crush on Shinebreak (24).  Maybe Brightmouse (24) would be open to an open relationship?  Echomoor feels inadequate because he hasn’t proven himself.  He wishes that Dawnfreckle would be a bit more considerate when he’s boasting about saving Hopgrowl.  Lilacdrizzle (16) finds a kit while out on patrol and decides to bring him back to camp.  He names the kit Greenkit (5).  The kit is water-blessed and excited to learn as much as he can about ElementClan’s history.

Tumbleswoop’s (36) broken leg isn’t getting any better.  In fact, it’s festering.  Echomoor (28) takes a long walk, deep in thought about ways he could help his loved one.  Meanwhile, Streamhiss (18) comes out as a trans she-cat.  You go, girl!  Rootwing (14) goes on his first solo mediation mission to RaccoonClan to solve some border disputes.  But he only makes them worse.  Oof.  Creekstar is not very popular with the newer members of the Clan.  Orioleclover (13) feels like she never does anything helpful, Hopgrowl (270) thinks she isn’t very considerate of others, and Cavekit (5) sticks out his tongue at her.  Oof (x2).  Rubbleheart (43) overhears Creekstar complaining about him behind his back.  He doesn’t appreciate it.  His game of hide and seek was very important.  More important than hunting, even. Skipneedle is amazed at how long Hopgrowl has survived and feels a deep respect for the elder.  Sweet Marmalade (32) is happy to be healthy and makes sure to always check in on his Clanmates.  Shinebreak (22) and Brightmouse (22) are still enjoying the mated life.  Shinebreak purrs for a long time at one of Brightmouse’s lame jokes.  Blizzardpaw (10) is impatient to be a warrior and gets in a spat with Skipneedle (22) over a piece of fresh-kill.  

Nettlepaw (12) has been made a warrior!  His name is now Nettlestripe in honor of his zeal.  Safariaster (150) is proud of her son, even if she is a little cranky from fighting off an eagle that tried to snap her up.  Those claw-wounds hurt!   Dawnfreckle (27) is glad that Nettlestripe is a warrior now.  He’s quite fond of the young cat.  Blizzardpaw (6) is now an apprentice!  Her mentor is Streamhiss (14).  With Safariaster injured, Paleburst (22) is the most experienced Healer.  Which means Creekstar (97) gets to boss him around instead of Safariaster.  How fun.  Safariaster asks Rindlepaw (10) for help with her wounds, but Rindlepaw is busy and turns her away.  Ouch.  Literally.  Sweet Marmalade (28) is bored being stuck in camp and decides to fill his time by decorating Echomoor’s (24) nest with flowers.  Xhosa (111) doesn’t appreciate how close Shinebreak (18) is getting with the fearsome foursome and is telling jokes about her.  Shinebreak doesn’t care.  She could drown Xhosa in a heartbeat if she wanted to.  Xhosa’s son, Almondback (18), tells Skipneedle that Oriolepaw has been struggling and Skipneedle realizes that she is too hard on the young cat.  She knows what it feels like to be an outsider.

Streampaw (12) has joined his brother as a warrior.  He is given the name of Streamhiss in honor of his determination.  Xhosa (109) is not a fan of having so many unproven dark-cursed cats in the Clan.  She feels like Frostblotch (16) doesn’t take her role and actions seriously.  Tumbleswoop (30) doesn’t mind having dark-cursed cats in the Clan.  He’s even grown to kind of like them.  At least, one of them.  He asks Echomoor (22) to go fishing with him, using their water powers to herd the fish towards them.  It’s effective, but it would have been more effective if they didn’t keep getting distracted by each other.  Sweet Marmalade (26) has an infection growing in his broken back.  That doesn’t stop him from sparring with Frostblotch though!  She wishes she could help heal him, but Safariaster won’t let her try.  Safariaster (148) is impressed with how well Smokefoot (30) handles herself as a deaf warrior. She’s brave and Safariaster highly doubts any cat would notice she was deaf if they didn’t already know.  Safariaster is glad that Hopedawn’s (30) kits are nice to her kit.  Rootpaw (8) especially is good at making Nettlepaw (10) laugh.  But no cats are laughing when Vaxxstreak (127) brings back the news that Amberwhisker (100) has been killed by a large dog.
