The curse of the lesbians strikes again.  Treepelt (18) had dim memories of where she was born.  She knew she was from the twolegplace, and she remembered interacting with twolegs as a kit. So she decided to seek them out and left camp without telling anyone.  Not even her mate, Hatchswipe (23).  When Hatchswipe finds Treepelt’s empty nest the next morning, she and Skipneedle (53) set up a patrol to go find her.  Instead, they find Treepelt’s cooling body.  Hatchswipe mourns the loss of her mate and the many moons they should have had together.  Instead, they had each other as mates for only five moons.  Creekstar (132) comforts Hatchswipe in her grief.  Whorlstorm (23) watches and decides that Creekstar isn’t so bad after all.  Kestrelcreek (67) continues to be a good friend to Hatchswipe and checks in with her to make sure she’s doing all right.  Sweet Marmalade (63) has also started playing favorites with his kits.  He snuggles up against Hatchswipe, comforting her.  But he cannot stand being around Whorlstorm. Meanwhile, being proven hasn’t made Bluestripe (53) any less angsty.  Creekstar notices her sulking around camp again, spitefully declaring that she doesn’t need anyone else.  Lakepelt (86) checks in with Creekstar, still determined to help her leader find a treatment that works for her.  They have a nice long talk and feel like they understand each other better.  Skipneedle is still feeling a little unsure as deputy and wonders what the Clan thinks of her.  She knows her sisters support her, but what about everyone else?  Almondback (49) is a little paranoid after Treepelt went missing.  He counts every cat in the Clan, multiple times, to make sure that everyone is accounted for.

Healer’s den: Greenrapid (cat bite), Creekstar (grief stricken), Dawnfreckle (grief stricken), Whorlstorm (running nose)

The Clan mourns Streamhiss’ loss, but, well, she was pretty stand-offish.  There are a couple cats who will miss her more than others, though.  Almondback (45) misses his sister and prays that she’s safe in StarClan with their mother.  Rubbleheart (70) misses his friend and the warmth that Streamhiss brought to his life.  In better news, Stonepaw (13) has been made a warrior with the name of Stonetuft in honor of his initiative.  Dawnfreckle (57) is feeling like Stonetuft is having a much easier time than he did, just because he’s star-blessed and Dawnfreckle’s dark-cursed.  Dawnfreckle complains that Stonetuft never does anything useful.  With Lakepelt sick, Hollypaw (13) is struggling to care for the whole Clan.  Downgaze (55) hopes he knows how grateful he is for his treatment.  He doesn’t know if he would have survived his injury without Hollypaw.  Downgaze also enjoys being able to leave camp again and goes on a nice moonlit stroll with Sweet Marmalade (59). Additionally, Treepelt (14) and Hatchswipe (19) have become mates!  They’re young, but they know what they want.  Brightmouse (49) hopes they have better luck than she and Shinebreak did.  Meanwhile, Brightmouse is developing a bit of a crush on Kestrelcreek (63). . .and Lakepelt (82) is developing a crush on her. Creekstar (128) is finally feeling back up to working after Vaxxstreak’s death.  Much to Primcrest’s (116) relief (she needs a break).  Bluestripe (49) is dissatisfied with how Creekstar has been leading the Clan lately.  And not only because she thinks that Creekstar should just declare her proven.  She feels like Creekstar should retire and let Primcrest take over.  Primcrest has been doing all the work in camp, after all. While Creekstar will always love Vaxxstreak, she’s decided to move on.  It helps that her son has healed from his mangled tail. Greenrapid’s (30) been struggling a bit lately with worries that things have been good in the Clan for too long.  She feels like disaster is just moments away.  Rubbleheart comforts the young warrior after she has a nightmare.  Tumbleswoop (63) and Hopedawn (63) both agree that they’re not fans of Whorlstorm (19).  Hopedawn hisses at her over something minor (once more proving to not be a good grandma) and Tumbleswoop doesn’t want to patrol with her.  For him, it’s a little hard seeing the same tail signals that Smokefoot used to communicate.  He misses his sister.   

Healer’s Den: Lakepelt (greencough), Hopedawn (whitecough), Archdapple (broken bone), Cavecatcher (whitecough), Whorlstorm (broken bone), Hatchswipe (mangled leg)

Treepaw (11) has been made a warrior with the name of Treepelt in honor of her dignity.  Meanwhile, Hollypaw (10) is worried about Downgaze (52).  His mangled tail has gotten infected, just like Vaxxstreak’s did.  If he can’t heal her son, will Creekstar (125) hate him even more?  Creekstar actually isn’t focused on him and is instead getting to know Bluestripe (46) better.  They talk over why Bluestripe hasn’t officially been declared proven and Creekstar feels like she understands her better.  Rubbleheart (67) is getting testier as he gets older.  He thinks Rootwing (38) is annoying and gets in a spat with Whorlstorm (16) over a piece of fresh-kill.  But he’s a completely different cat around Tumbleswoop (60) and purrs for a long time at one of his bad jokes.  They may also be bonding over the fact that they both are annoyed at Whorlstorm, as she stole Tumbleswoop’s favorite nesting materials.  Whorlstorm is just perplexed at why the senior warriors don’t like her all of a sudden.  Another senior (ish) warrior, Dawnfreckle (54) is spending time with his mom and spars with Primcrest (113).  It’s good for them both to keep their skills sharp.  Skipneedle (46) gets in an argument with Hollypaw over the medicine cat apprentice’s insecurity.  Everyone seems to be taking their own issues out on him these past couple of moons! Meanwhile Rootwing doesn’t care that his mom isn’t a great grandma.  He loves her anyways and snuggles up with her to combat the leaf-fall chill.  They work well together.  Meanwhile, his brother, Lilacdrizzle (38) may be sucking up to Stonepaw (10) a little and helps him pick burrs out of his fur.  Whorlstorm does not like Lilacdrizzle and hisses at him when he asks if she could move her tail.  Stonepaw has been stressed lately and is having nightmares.  Primcrest takes him out on a patrol (instead of Archdapple-46, his mentor, who broke her leg) and comforts him.  She’s not sure she can offer much, but she does her best.  Even that’s enough to perk Stonepaw up a little.
