“His trailer should be just up here,” Taylor said, Nancy, Robin, and Steve trailing behind her. The four looked worse for wear, with angry red marks around their necks and disheveled clothes. The metal bat in Taylor’s hand made her whole body tilt slightly to the side. Her arms were tired and her whole body ached. As soon as they found Dustin and Eddie, they would go home. She and Eddie would go back to her house, shower, and then sleep for however long it took for them to wake up from this nightmare. 

Eddie’s trailer was in view as they stepped foot out of the forest. A smile found its way onto Taylor’s face when she saw the two figures. Confusion quickly replaced the smile on her face when she sees Eddie’s body lying on the ground and her feet pick up into a jog that quickly turns into a sprint. Her leg buckles but she manages to regain balance and continue racing over to her boyfriend.

When she is within arm's length she takes in his body. He has bite marks on his torso and she can see flesh from where he was bitten. She brings her eyes up to his face and she catches sight of his neck. She winces at the red and bloody ring that wraps around his neck. She rests a gentle hand on his cheek.

“H-Hey Eds” She chokes out. His soft eyes brighten at the sight of his lover, he places his hand on top of the one she has on his cheek. 

“Hey Sweetheart,” He says softly. He looks at her like she is the brightest, most beautiful star in the sky. A tear slips down Taylor’s cheek as she feels his hand on her shake slightly. She goes to help him up.

“Come on baby, we gotta get you some help” She begins to put an arm under his shoulders. She looks at the others for help but they don’t make any move to move Eddie from his spot. 

“Guys, come on, give me a hand. We need to get him to a hospital” She pleads to her friends. They look at her with a sense of hopelessness. She’s startled by a hand on her cheek.

“Sweetheart, I’m not gonna make it.” His body is trembling and his hand has lost what little warmth it had moments ago.

“What are you talking about! We’re gonna get you out of here.” Taylor looks around frantically for something to stop the bleeding or help from her friends.

“HELP ME! PLEASE” She screams while her tears fall heavy down her face. If her eyes weren’t blurry because of the tears in her eyes, then she would be able to see the hopeless and lost look on her friends' faces. 

“I love you so much, please don’t forget how much I love you.” His words are faint and she almost doesn’t hear him. Eddie places a cold metal into her hand. It’s the ring he always wore on his right ring finger. She clutches it in her hand and her eyes fly back to his face, not wanting to waste one second not looking at the love of her life.

“Eddie please stay. Y-you promised, you promised we’d always be together, don’t leave me.” She sobs, holding onto him like a lifeline. She brings her other hand to his head, rubbing the top of it in an attempt to soothe him as his trembling worsens. He flashes a small smile to her before it begins to fade.

“It’s okay, it’s okay. I love you, I love you” His eyes darken “You’re my hero Eddie”

A second passes, then his body goes limp in her arms. She brings her head to his chest, clutching his body. Strangled sobs leave her throat. However, she doesn’t get a moment before the ground beneath her rumbles. Nancy and Steve lift Taylor off the ground as it begins to crack open. They start to pull her away from Eddie in an attempt to get to safety of some sort. 

“Wait no, we can’t leave him here” They push her harder away as she tries to dig her feet into the ground and reach her arm out to his body.

“NANCY, STEVE PLEASE, DON’T LEAVE HIM HERE! DUSTIN!” The cracks open up even more, swallowing the earth in its path. “ROBIN PLEASE, DON’T LEAVE HIM HERE, PLEASE!” She begs. She glances back at him, watching in horror as the earth cracks underneath him and swallows him whole. Taylor cries out as the man she loves, loved, more than anything disappears right before her eyes.
