Hi soph, can you please share with us how to overcome procrastination?
To do lists: I have a proper, nice notebook for my to do lists and since I have procrastinated less. I either write them Sundays for the whole week, or on the evening for the next day. It is very motivating to see you having done all of this work! I also sometimes use a tip I got on tumblr where one person said to write a lot on it - even though you know you won't be able to do everything. just the fact that you have a whole list of things to do makes you start working
use resources: I use flip (the app) a lot and it also motivates me and decreases procrastination, you can also use apps/ browser extensions for your phone, computer that don't let you on certain websites- then you don't have anything to procrastinate on. it also helps to get rid of the distracting devices: put your phone in another room, clean you desk so you can work properly
why do you procrastinate? sometimes I procrastinate because I am scared of the outcome/ the task but in the end I have thought so much about it that in this time I could have already done it. I always try to keep this in mind
Find methods that work for you: be it to work somewhere else (I used to study at the library a lot and it helped so much), use study methods like pomodoro, create your own challenges (I did a challenge once where everytime I thought "I'll do it tomorrow" I just did 25 minutes of this task- sometimes it worked and I decided to do all of the task then)
have something to look forward to: you need something that motivates you: a nice evening because you studied all day instead of procrastinating and cramming it in the evening (been there, done that)
Those are the tips that helped me a lot. I hope they are useful for you as well. If any of my followers have good advice, just comment/ reblog!
Btw nearly forgot: I am also not totally over it- sometimes I spend an hour on youtube watching stupid videos. But hey, it happens. Try to be better next time!
