Diamond can be a bit reticent until he knows whether his affection is welcome or not, but once he has permission he’s very affectionate.

For nonverbal expression, physical affection is a big one! Anything from hugs to hair ruffling to leaning against someone’s side are really common gestures from Diamond. He also likes playful touch; he’ll frequently nudge someone’s side when he’s teasing them, for example.

Small gestures of care are another one; dropping off snacks or tea, straightening a loved one’s collar, fetching a blanket or turning lights on/off if someone seems uncomfortable, etc.

As for verbal affection, that can get a little more tangled; sometimes his self-deprecation can muddy things. >_>;

But he’s very warm with greetings and farewells towards loved ones. He’s pretty free with praise, especially with kids that he wants to encourage. Diminutives or small nicknames are a really common sign of affection from him; kiddo, sweetheart, etc.

Friends, comrades, and family are always put first - he wouldn’t want to have anything horrible happen to anyone dear again. Jotaro is more act than say, but he’ll do anything in his power to protect them ... though hardly ever please. That’s not as important when compared to someone’s well-being, he’d reasoned. in order to protect said loved ones, especially his partner, his kid - he’s going to have to be a little withdrawn with them. It’s only so his past won’t go after them too. Unfortunately that decision doesn’t translate well, leading to daddy issues and divorce on the long run. He cares, he truly does from the bottom of his heart, he’d just chosen a risky way to demonstrate it. 

That being said, this devotion wouldn’t ultimately shape into a fixation for him - not when his time away from them prevents it altogether. 

rosy touch. how do they show affection non-verbally? are they likely to show affection with their words as well?

Not much, actually - but he does in fact prefer to display said affection discreetly. He’s more open to actions, than words, and still struggles to do both. Jotaro’s schedule is unavoidably packed, having to balance time between his work, and family - although tends to lean towards his passion for marine biology ... it only works in his favor to lessen the potential danger towards them. When he is home in about however, the late hours, he’s not completely withdrawn than you think. Always returning back with a gift or two for Jolyne that reminded him of her, takes the time to greet the two of you at the front door, and ultimately ask how your day went once you two tuck yourselves under the covers. He’s exhausted, yes, but it doesn’t hurt to hear in on your own adventure - listening to your excited ramblings as he eventually drifts off to sleep.

Again, not much, but you understand what he does for you two.   

And when he has to leave early for work, he makes sure to scribble a quick, brief note for you, his patient lover - and a simple doodle of a dolphin for his only daughter, pasting the sticky notes right onto the fridge - every single day. There is not a day where he forgets to do so, he’ll never forgive himself if he does. 

Jotaro, cherishes you both ...

A blink, then a huff before he answers. “Pretty adept I dare say.” are his words as he leans back into his chair. “Would not be helpful to work on a mission and not understand the technology you might need to use them, right?”

Makeshift Stone: What does their internet search history usually include? Are there any parts of their searches that they’re embarrassed by?

In Conton, his search history before he wipes it clean consists of a mishmash of news articles detailing events happening/that have happened throughout Conton,meme sites, herpetology videos, cardiology, and a lot of searches on robotics.

Most of his research happens outside of the internet, so it’s mostly there to pass the time and help him chill out when he’s done with studying/conducting experiments/being a pest for the day!

“Ah stress? I like to think I handle it alright. I mean some days are harder than others, ‘specially when I got a deadline on my shoulders. Usually I like to kick back with some good music or stuff my face with the most greasy or sugary treats I can find! Arthur is a big help in that regard, I give him a little cuddle and he makes me feel better. He is a good bird friend! If things are really tough then Maxeon will take me out and we’ll pub hop for a while, have a drink...or ten haha. Point is if I’m stressed I don’t like being that way for long.”

rosy fog. what are their views on romantic love?

Love is a wonderful feeling, but it is not something he is actively seeking - no, not when he’s deeply involved with the mafia. When thinking of romance, Bruno imagines trivial things: sharing sweet, short conversations over a cup of tea in a small, humble cafe right around the corner of Naples; exchanging ideals, dreams, and light philosophy one lengthy night to prolong their stay; savoring each other’s warmth under the covers one late evening when he’s endowed a free day to spend with his partner, arm slipping around their waist as he pulls them closer, and gently presses a heartfelt kiss right onto their forehead that breathes ‘I love you.’     

That is his idea on love.

rosy haze. do they react well when they develop feelings for someone, and if not, why?

He's rather quick to take notice just as the feelings gradually start to blossom. Though, Bruno is more uncertain if he should even act on it, or let them know about his affection towards them. Whether they’re a precious comrade of his, or a curious civilian he’s met by chance - he’s troubled all the same, is it okay of him to develop these emotions and indulge in it? Would this be a problem for his occupation ... ? And until he’s able to catch their smile another time, he’s finally reassured - there is absolutely nothing wrong in loving them. 

“I consider myself strong I guess. I don’t really like to fight physically where I can avoid it..a pacifist in that regard. But if someone needs defendin’ I’ll be the first to volunteer. I like stickin’ up fer the little guy!”

Rook does have reasonable physical ability considering almost all of his work is hands-on and requires heavy lifting. Mentally he means well but can sometimes be slow on the uptake. He isn’t an overly emotional guy, looking at things point blank and tackling it as best as he can logically. If he gets mad about something then usually it means someone messed up pretty badly.

Diamond likes relatively simple, practical clothes, and is fond of layers and pockets! T-shirts and flannel overshirts, vests, hiking shoes, belts, watches, etc. And he isn't a big fan of close-fitting clothing; he usually prefers things looser.

As far as reasons beyond comfort go... he does like being able to deal with unexpected things; likes having a pen and small notebook in a shirt or jacket pocket, being able to add/remove layers as temperature shifts, having a spare overshirt around to use as a makeshift pillow/towel/rope, having a belt he can keep a pocket knife on, things like that.
