Term had only just begun, and Draco already severely regretted coming back. Heâd known it would be hard, heâd known it was stupid, but he was determined to prove he was worth something and this seemed the best way to do it.Â
However, he hadnât considered how hard itâd be to face the people heâd tortured last year. Or the family of those he had. It was like a list playing on repeat in his head, informing him of how heâd hurt everyone he was passing in the halls, either directly or indirectly.Â
It wasnât quite time for supper, but Draco had nothing better to do than sit in the library and wait. His goal for the year was to keep his head down and get through it as quickly as possible. It wasnât working.
With a deep sigh, he lifted his head and gave a half-hearted glare in the direction heâd felt the staring. âWhat?â He snapped. âDo you need to borrow a quill?âÂ
