We set our expectations appropriately low for a 00s comedy that’s been maybe too heavily referenced by people, and we still weren’t having a good time. A lot of the jokes just didn’t land for us and the tone doesn’t often hit for the level of absurdity going on. Some good bits—we enjoyed the walk-off so much we wished it was the actual plot. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are good. Kinda actually saying something about the nature of the fashion and modeling industries but it seems unwilling to dwell on it.
