Probably you do not remember this project, theĀ āFiligreen Shawl,ā a design by Andrea Jurgrau. I made it a few years back (in 2014), and it was one item I decided to keep for myself. A couple of weeks ago, I threw it over the outfit I was wearing. My daughter noticed it and remarked that she thought it would be much improved with tassels on the front ends as well as the back. I was pretty sure that I had used up the rest of the yarn to makeĀ ācoastersā as an impromptu birthday gift, but I found just enough for 2 small front tassels. I believe my daughter was quite right!
Sometimes stitchery witchery is choosing to make a blanket for a healing spell.
Like, gosh this blanket is taking so long to make, but healing can take a long time too and thatās kinda the point.
Iā¦ donāt know why I didnāt think to use the leftover beads from other projects to make magic stitch markers before now. I mean, I literally made myself a set of rock crystal stitch markers for this exact reason.
Gotta love adhd for telling me that I need to make new stitch markers because all the ones I have are too boring, and thus making me realize this.
So anyway, I have new labradorite and tourmalated quartz stitch markers. Now I just need to get some head pins to expand my magic markers set.

I spent the past four months creating a blanket as a sort of long-form healing spell.
Am I completely healed? No. That would have been unreasonable to expect.
But am I significantly healed? Yes, and that is what I was going for.
And now I have a heavily enchanted blanket to help me in the future.
I just realized that the reason I was struggling so much with the protection spell I was working on was because I chose a yarn that doesnāt work for protection spells. Welp, I guess that this is going to be enchanted in a different, more appropriate way.
I donāt know exactly what sort of magic I worked into my rainbow shawl, but even years later itās still so nice and comforting.
