Dinner on Tuesday 03/13/18

 We were tired from our day so wanted to go somewhere closeby.  This beer hall and restaurant was just a few steps away from our hotel so was a good choice. It served Bavarian style food, which is a close cousin to Tyrolean cuisine.

Of course we started by ordering some Bavarian beer.  As appetizers I had slices of pork in aspic served as a salad; my nephew had the pretzel with pepper cheese spread.

As main courses, we tried the weißwurst served over sauerkraut, and the roasted duck served with red cabbage and potato knödel. I had to also order my favourite side, the cucumber salad.  

Dessert was “palatchinko”, a kind of crêpe served with ice cream and whipped cream, plus the classic apfelstrudel.
