Lately, I have been not sharing my thoughts, my dreams, ventilations on my daily life, anything with anyone because once I do, someone always feel the need to let me know what they would do in my situation. But I never asked anyone to tell me what I should do because in actuality that wasn’t the purpose of the the phone call or text, it was just me wanting to vent - clear my chest so I can feel some type of freedom. But I get stuck hearing someone say “Nah, don’t do that.” or “You’re too young to do this.” Last time I checked, I had to grow up at the age of 15 due to a death and become an adult with emotions and feelings.

So stfu, I don’t feel like I’m too old to do anything. I actually feel like I’m at a age when I able to do certain things and when I’m not doing it as of right now, I’m disappointed. I don’t have that luxury of riding my parent’s dick through times of not having a job, figuring out my life or just getting through the odd phases of my twenties. So please, when I call anyone, actually just listen and save your advice for someone that barely knows shit because someone like me, knows a lot (due to being so damn resourceful) and I just wanted to be heard; to feel a weight over my shoulder. Just listen to my tone, my words, my phrases, the way I’m putting words together in a sentence to describe the feeling I had towards a situation.

The interesting part about it all, I did share one of the most embarrassing moments of a situation with a good friend of mine and the conversation ended up about being 20 mins of them agreeing with me. That made no sense to me because I already knew what I needed to do and the decisions I made were right. She just felt the need to hear herself talk and repeat shit I already know. It probably sounds like I’m being a brat, but that’s not my intention.

The bottom line is: I don’t like telling anyone anything due to the fact no one is actually hearing the emotion or feeling. I can say, I do too just talk away and disregard what the person said to me and just go crazy with advice. But I am working on it by not talking and just actually listening.
