I know I do a lot of tête-bêche books, but listen, they are so much fun to make, and they're a neat way to put two stories by the same author into one book and bulk out what would otherwise be a very slim volume. not that there's anything wrong with a slim book (I make plenty of them), but variety is the spice of life, right?

goddddddddd. do i wanna know is iconic and such a banger and sets the tone for the album so well. but! star treatment is So complex and gorgeous and pretty much an entire album condensed in one song. but also!! there'd better be a mirrorball is one of most beautiful things i've ever heard in my life, with alex's voice and the strings and the melancholy.... don't make me choose between them
3. humbug or tbh+c?
i love humbug with all my heart and it is a perfect album (actually the first vinyl i bought from them!) but yeah........tbhc is just a fucking masterpiece, i love how weird but still cohesive and pleasant it is! alex really knocked it out of the park, it's so easy to go wrong with sci-fi and social commentary but he trusted his instincts and fucking nailed it. it's one of a kind!
6. if you had to pick one song from their discography to never hear again, which one would it be?
i'm gonna say something that absolutely no one agrees with, and i've genuinely never understood why lmao. i fucking despise bigger boys and stolen sweethearts. out of their 120+ song catalogue, it is literally the only one by them that i cannot stand. the lyrics make me cringe so much, and the instrumentals aren't even that good? why do people love this song!!! like, it'd be one thing if people were like "eh, it's all right, who cares" but no!! people go crazy over it and consider it one of their best, like fucking what!!!!!! it's shit
