The Running Man (2025)
A man joins a game show in which contestants, allowed to go anywhere in the world, are pursued by "hunters" hired to kill them.
I haven’t watched the original, but I went with someone who had, and they told me that “this was better” and “Powell is better than Schwarzenegger in this role.” So I thought I’d pass that along.
From my perspective, I went in without knowing anything about either the book or the original movie, and I really enjoyed it. It’s a fun, action-filled film with some interesting social commentary — and what blew my mind was that the book came out in 1982! That’s way before we had reality TV and this obsession with fickle celebrities, so in that aspect, the story was way ahead of its time.
Are we headed toward a world where people would watch reality TV in which someone is being hunted? Well, given the way things are at the moment, nothing would surprise me! I mean, could people get tired of the usual reality shows and demand something more extreme? I hate reality TV, so I wouldn’t know :)
I definitely recommend it. I think Glen Powell definitely has that star power — like Tom Cruise — and if he keeps going like this and keeps getting hits, we may have a new action star on our hands.
things you won’t know about richie ‘trashmouth’ tozier unless you read the book
- broadcasts for his college radio
- takes beverly out on her first date, during which he uses the lid of a trashcan to block a punch from belch huggins like captain goddamn america
- bites henry’s ankle
- somehow reverses his vasectomy
- fights pennywise in space alongside bill
- tries to use sneezing powder against a werewolf (and makes it actually fucking work)
- is friends with a policeman, for some reason?? even though he’s kinda racist to him ?
- is overall ten times as feral as he is in the movies while simultaneously managing to be even more baby
everything’s eventual (2003) - stephen king
“hhng flesh”

"On a starless night, he walks along the gray streets of Derry."
Just a potrait of Robert Gray( or George Elvid, Crimson King, Mordred Deschain, whichever one you think It/Pennywise is.)
It's spooky month! 🎃👻🤡🎈 Here's some updated pics of my Neiboot house, which I built from a dollhouse kit, painted and sculpted the clown dolls, save the one I got in a Neca accessory set. And built some of the furniture. I remember finding the scrapbook paper I used for wallpaper and how some of the images for the living fit the Losers, including a design of a key. And of course it wouldn't have been complete without a reference to Stephen King himself,, a typewriter. Enjoy!
Well into Insomnia- I know Stephen King retconned this one-in terms of the lore surrounding the Crimson King - but I'm enjoying the references since it's set in Derry- I know Fucko the Clown may not be a direct reference to Pennywise but I cackled.
