Tim Curry might be the epitome of "understands the assignment" and never gives less than 110% and damn I love him so much for that.

Bev would smoke with Richie, Eddie was incredibly close with Bill, Richie went to go and see a film with Bev and Ben, Stan was who mostly helped Bev when her bathroom exploded with blood, Stan also helped Mike by realising that whatever bird that attacked him isn't real, Ben gave eddie tips on how to hide his injuries from his mum, eddie helped ben feel better about his dad's death, the list goes on and on. They are all friends, they don't just split off into their little couples.
