Which from what this article that highlights the benefits in what you would be gaining with the steps suggested. Which dementia could be reduced significantly with just upkeeping the 7,000 steps a day. Which to me that is already a big bonus especially if it runs in the family. But 10,000 steps is still beneficial for the betterment of health, and it is ok to work your way up to it.

Just wanted to share this since I found it interesting, because since starting on walking it has been a daily grind to get to 8,000 steps. Which most times I still don't even hit that....I have to remember it is a work in progress and will get there dang it!
