every time you see someone in a collective (that is large and includes diverse people) saying that "white people created this" "it originated in white people's circles" when referring to labels, practices and habits that are largely used and accepted, take it with a grain of salt. not because white people can't create things, but because this narrative isn't about talking about one individual, but about whiteness. and whiteness, my loves, especially in colonized countries, doesn't seek anything but to maintain itself. whiteness is the exclusionary shit that lead to colonization, enslavement, violence, political strategies to outcast communities and revisionist history. whiteness wants to keep the "winner's history" and in order to do that, it demands that we exclude every other thing that doesn't fit in it - BIPOC folks and its cultures, identities and labels that doesn't fit in the white cishet binary, world views that deviate from a certain cosmologies, and so on
