So I know Steins;Gate is kind of “lost” media, since a lot of the people who love it found it a decade ago and have since drifted on…but I have this feeling in my stomach that it’s due for a resurgence. I see a lot of people reacting to it on YouTube, and with Anonymous;Code coming out, I hope it introduces a lot of people to Science Adventure. Also the fifteenth anniversary of the VN is next year, and MAGES. has already said they have something big planned this for to announce the anniversary!
I know a few things I would love to see, but I’m not sure it’ll be any of those things. I’d love for a fully English dubbed version of the VN, but that’s super wishful thinking. I’d also just like for the VN to be available on all platforms, since it isn’t playable on GamePass or PS5, but I can’t see that being the big news either. My only other guess is another game, but if it’s set on the S;G worldline, I’m afraid it’ll lose sight of itself. I’d rather have a series of happy vignettes set on the S;G worldline, but alas, those only exist in fanfic, I’m afraid.
More than likely, the announcement will just be the official name of the next installment in the Science Adventure universe. My money is on “Steins;Fate.”
