Once I told you of a crazed mother cow
Mistaken often, prowess of the bull
Compared to the one whom nurs’d the calf full
Trepidly I’d cross her path even now
and take the life of the ox who doth plough
who to whom the farmer is most helpful
and never the one who loved a handful
the calf a consequence to disavow
Oh crazy cow now I am forced to see
After many of your babes ripped away
by rancher, wolves, and tricky coyote
you refused our bribe and payment of hay
to be the mother you needed to be
My father cuts the roses from the rosebush and bouquets the flower On the last Sunday of May Between spring and summer Waltzing thru the tombstones recalling words they used to say Remembering but no longer mourning the family and the friends Paying tribute with the flora to those who came before Casually teaching us children that all things come to ends. That death is always infinitely more Than all of life
The Greatest Love I Can No Longer Miss
You are not the rock of my life or soul Instead the priceless gemstone set in gold The one setting that makes love's heirloom full Opal and alloy together to grow old Never shall I find a stone to replace To search the entire world would be in vain For no other pair can match our embrace Metal and stone fired and made with pain So why pretend it wasn't what it was The gem was cut precisely for the ring My band was forged to cover all your flaws Separate just parts, combined everything You are not mine or I yours but part of this The greatest love I can no longer miss
How does one say goodbye Not the see you soon or until next time A farewell which must be a tearful cry Not what the poet often makes rhyme
To go separate ways To pass unto another plane What is it at death’s bed the son says Or a lover groveling in vain
Must it always hurt so deep Or can it be a final joyful leap Into a nothingness abyss to hurt no more Or a whole new experience to endure
Goodbye, in truth, is not something said It is a sickening split a final end It is not words or these to be read Or something one can mend
Goodbye and it’s expression are something we cannot comprehend But must act, pretend, and try to say
That it’s over, and that’s okay

Love Knows not Logic
However I try I can’t solve this equation
To left or right, positive or in negation
Every variable input X or Y
Makes you and I irrational or undefined
Math follows logic the heart does not abide by
No real solution to this paradox assigned
For reason and logic are calculated cold
Love, the absurd purity of Alchemist’s Gold
Suppose this be the last I wrote for thee
What final words wouldst I dare to convey?
To break the damning spell you’ve put on me
To run and stay so very far away
That when I look back to that distant day
Separated by years and miles and more
That I wrote everything I wanted to say
And know that we’ve found what we both look’d for
Heroine of my personal folklore
Whom destroyed the most evil of Evil
Obsession I should abhor but adore
For sending my heart into upheaval
Pristine Blue stars nestled in storm blown straw
Reminded me of the angel once I saw
I have no shame in admitting i cry myself to sleep most nights as a result of my severe depression. I've been underweight since 5th grade because some girl called me fat, at first I'd get hungry but after awhile i just started forgetting to eat. I've always been insecure about my appearance, ive had a chipped tooth since i was 7, ive been taller than all the other girls in my class since kindergarten, and im native american but extremely pasty... meaning I've been made fun of for looking asian. Ive got scars you can't imagine in places you wouldn't dare take a blade or flame to. Im damaged goods, but I've managed to make it this far, i talk a lot about wanting to die and don't get me wrong life is shit.. that doesn't mean suicide is ever a "good" alternative. I've lived through unimaginable pain, and i still find a way to smile at least once a day. You can to, it's not as hard as you think.
You can stay sad, but stay strong.
