There was a definite lack of diligence with mask-wearing right away, but at least I know everyone was tested before filming. I hate hate hate the dumping of Khourgorio in favor of whatever Hannah and Carter’s ship name would be, and I also hate the direction the romantic relationships are heading. Sebastian having an RAC target on his back is decidedly Not Good. The Khourgorio scene was marred by mentions of Kara, Carter, and Sebastian, but the Carter-and-Sebastian scene was really sweet. The writers were TAUNTING us with Khourgorio interrogating together (at least to my mind they were). Sebastian brought the realness in the conversation with Carter, and with the series ending set up a possible exit for Carter to leave the team. Carter’s feelings actually being hurt was unexpected and made me feel really sorry and sympathetic for him. Gregorio’s profiles of everyone was entertaining but also kind of sad, and I hate how fractured the team is becoming. Gregorio’s suspiciousness is one of her best and worst qualities, and I’m just emotional over how everything is changing and the pace at which it is. The showdown with Gregorio was tense, as was the end scene with her and Sebastian. I just can’t support Hannah and Carter as a couple- I love them both but not together romantically. The interpersonal dynamics took center stage tonight, and I thought they’d overpower the seriousness of the case, but they didn’t. All in all, an interesting episode, and I’m impatient for the next one.
