What could I make my “one in a melon” granddaughter? Why, a watermelon hat, of course! I am aware it’s the middle of a very hot summer but she can wear it while they sit around a campfire in the evenings or while watching her brothers play sports. Baby sister snatched up one of my sample beanies for my new pattern and claimed it as her own, so now big sister wants a new hat too, but none of the ones I've already made (of course 😂). So I took her to do a little hunting through my stash and she picked out some colors then told me what she wants. Lots of knitting this month, but not much finished. I made some pretty good headway on my lace projects, started a new scarf, and converted sock remnants into hexiflats.
